Colorgenics: Amazing Profiler

Kestral

Recommended Posts

Hey, does anybody want to try something cool out? Colorgenics does an amazing psychiatric profile based simply on the coloured cubes you pick in their flash program.

Try it out at http://www.colorgenics.com .

Here's my profile: http://www.colorgenics.com/color.php?c0=1&c1=2&c2=0&c3=3&c4=6&c5=4&c6=7&c7=5

[EDIT: BTW, that profile hits it right on the head.]

Need more people to do psychiatric profiles.. Particularly some specific people. :p

ROFLMAO!! ...Gonk - I think he means you... :p;)

I tried it, and it was actually surprisingly accurate - although I have some suspicions about how it works....

It's a sweet, sweet con, it really is, but ultimately it operates on the principle that's kept psychics and other assorted two-bit hustlers in business throughout the ages:

Feed the mark enough vague generalities that could apply to anyone, and they'll start to gloss over anything that you get wrong. Then when you've got them going, offer to be more specific... for a price. (Notice the bottom of the profile page).

Try having someone else pick squares for you and see how much the resulting response still applies to you. :)

You can't have someone do your profile.. Sorry Denise, but thats a ill-thought remark. Unless the person you choose is a psychic, they won't be able to choose the squares you feel in harmony with.

You guys did read the instructions, right?

... What are you talking about? I was talking about living people.

Denise was trying to say that these types of things are usually scams. The results (or your profile in this case) are such vague generalities that they can apply to almost anybody. So no matter what colors are chosen for you, the results can be applied to you in one way or another.

My profile for example was that I was stressed out about something. Yeah, I am a bit stressed--I have a frickin huge report due on Monday. But then again, who doesn't have stress in their lives? People have homework, school projects, work deadlines, Superbowl parties to plan, etc. It could work for anybody.

Hey Kestral, read this from one of my earlier posts.

You might be interested to know that I tried 6 or 7 random combinations of colors and they all said pretty much the same thing

I tried that two different ways. One way I tried to see if I could relate to all of them. In other words, I was roleplaying a believer. I could. I also compared main points, and there were very few dicrepancies. In all of them I was stressed, feeling lonely, a little mad, a little pent up. All of the "lonely" ones had romantic undertones, but none of them stated it explicitely, so if someone who was married, sya, did it, they could take it a different way.

Are you sure you're Scav? I didn't think he would fall for this stuff.

You know, you're right. I've been feeling different lately. I've been wishing school would start faster, I've been doing more art than writing..

No, I was just surprised about how accurate it was to my current situation! I've been feeling stressed, most noticably over video games, to the point of snapping at my best friends; I've got a slight ego problem and I have been looking for a way to improve myself, hence the name changes; this is all topped off by the close relationship paradox at the end of my profile. I've been trying to get a little more friendly with some girls I've only considered as friends until this point.

However, in 20-20 retrospect hindsight, I realize that this kind of thing is a one time thing only. In twenty years, I might be utterly at ease with the world and still feel in harmony with the colours I chose.

Want me to go back to being Scav? At least, in mind, not in name. I like the Kestral name. Signable and lovable. :)

Yes, go back to being Scav in mind. I can relate to Scav. Scav is my friend. Scav thinks the way I do.

Now you are seeking a relationship which can provide peace of mind, where you can be yourself and not have the need to put on a false front...

This is what really amazes me. I said the exact same thing to myself only a little while ago. I said, 'I'm not looking for a girlfriend; I'm looking for a girl who understands me.'

And I'm a nut, so that search continues, eh? :)
