Several of us go back as far as 1997 (well, nobody was really here then, since LucasForums didn't exist back then, but Aristotle's page in one form or another), I know myself and Krayt Tion for example.

There are many others that I know will be coming back as well, and it'd be cool to hear from them again.

(And to the folks who's names I didn't mention, no disrespect, I'm just a little tired)

Boo! I saw a few of us back when the forums first opened. Hopefully they will come back.

Danke.

I have no idea how or why this thread found its way here, aside from a user just posting it here because he felt like it. This is not supposed to be an official place to post, but if the oldbies want to raise their mugs to times past in a place that just happens to be away from the influx of new members, I'll allow it.

For a while anyways.

Howdy.

I started playing JK not too long after it came out. In late 1998 or early 1999 I started making new levels for it.

I used to post on the old jk.net as JEV_Ares. I certainly made a fool of myself on the old forums. Has anyone heard from Kaminari? I hope he makes a comeback. He made some great levels for JK. I remember Kurgan and the guys from @. Anyhow, it is good to see that this site has grown and prospered.

We are still out there ;)

One of the perks about being born in 1981. You can remember stuff from "back in the day" like NES, POGs, and Jedi Knight.

Its crazy with kids these days! Most of them probably haven't seen Goonies or heard of the Cure!! hehe

I'm still here! Just take a look at my registration. I'll visit in every once and awhile to see what's happenin'. Nice to have a little jk.net alumni reunion. Whatever happen to the rest of the veterans like Nebula, Jeff Walters, Trail, and many others?

A big hello again to all the jk.net alumni and new members.

Salute!

I grabbed Jedi Knight a few months after it came out... played it until around '99, and by that time it kinda wore on me.

BloodyShark, I happen to know of someone by that name from Tribalwar. Same person mayhaps? :)

Also, this being my... second post here on these forums... I would like to say I'm impressed by the level of maturity in posts I've read tonight. A nice change of pace, I might say. :D

Yet another old fart replies.

It's been a heckuva couple years since I laid aside JK and MotS. Very much looking forward to 3/29, but of course, I'll be out of town that whole stinkin' week. So maybe I'll catch y'all again the next week if I can get the fingers to remember what to do.

I never did the clan thing - always a loner, but I do remember running into Kurgan and Teg, and I saw Wilhuf was a moderator and always enjoyed playing with him.

Looking forward to it.

Hey, StarWarsGooN -

I was always a big fan of the whole taunt thing. A few buddies and me shared some files that we grew rather fond of that were totally non-SW. If you discover the same thing is possible in JKII, please pass the word. I'll be trying it also.

I've been playing JK since the day it came out. I got the demo the day it came out as well (I had a devil of a time downloading it at 28.8kbps over AOL).

I was 12 yrs old at the time. (Wow, that was a long time ago).

A friend of mine made the JK mod Guns and Such (it's number 4 in downloads on massassi.net). I wrote one of the .cogs for it (the zoom one. Actually, I just wrote the zoom technique he used, he modified it to allow for multiple levels)

I remember downloading the first custom level, the first release of JED. *sighs*. Those were the days. Of course, when JK2 is released, those will be the days. :)

I started playing it when i was hmmm...*thinks REALLY hard* 16.

been over 2 years for me since i bought it bundled with mots for $40, was the last one walmarts had too! :)

I find mots to be better, according to enemies, graphics, and end battle. that last cutscene was so dramatic....well so was jk1s, but mots was more intense and sortof sad, and u truly understand why he's a Jedi Outcast. (him nearly killing jan was ONLY the beginning, when he went for the kill on mara, he was inches away from taking her life)

i have played jk since the start. played every user map made. missed a few.......but played most.

Some really sucked. SOME WHERE GREAT. Like the MOT style cut scene ones.....those where the days

I've been playing on and off since late 1998, starting with the JK demo and a 33.6Kb Internet connection, a 300mhz K6-2, and 64 megs of RAM. Say, anyone remember back when DCM was regularly updated? What about the first release of AOTL, or DOTF SE?

Now I'll be playing JO on a 1 ghz Athlon, 1 gig of RAM and a Cable connection. How times have changed.

I too have been around since the beginning...

It will be nice to see old names and familiar faces again. JK was the best gaming community around in its day.

I was involved in several websites & projects when JK was big-- the now dying JediNights.com, Valley of the Jedi, and Spork was probably the coolest thing I worked on. Those were the days...

Cheers,
