I'd have to agree with Wraith on this one.

1) the engine is the same as AoK

2) in most every game I've ever heard of they've cracked the engine

3) It has an editor built in. So they can use it as a portal to the game code...

4) don't worry about it...

Well quite frankly, I don't even see the need to create a mod, due to the great editor built in.

Wrong forum, once again... second time tonight, and counting!

yes, you are. The AOK-engine was 'cracked', if you can call it that with mod-packs.

This is an issue i'm a bit hesitant to discuss, since mod-packs are considered illegal by some gaming companies. But with certain game-types, they are secretly condoned. Let's hope GB works that way.

I asked Sandy Peterson (ES_Sandyman) once on the heavengames forums ... he said mod packs to him were okay if he they didn't interfere with the game.

(Sandyman is to AoK what Gaber is to SWGB)

If a mod can bring a new dimension to the game then I don't see any problem, and like EndSub I've played loads on mods on UT, I has given the game a well extended life.

Though frankly I can't see what kind of mods they could make, unless it's new civs that would work in the current game.

Mod Haters: (not forum mod haters :))

Have you guys played CounterStrike?

That game is like 1000 times greater than regular Half Life or Team Fortress.
