My System: Dying Weasel (hehe)

1.5 GHz P4 processor

256MB RDRAM

GAINWARD GeForce 4 Ultra/750XP "Golden Sample" (GF4Ti4600) with a loud, loud fan

20 Gig HDD

20 gig Peerless Iomega Zip Drive

really loud fans

DVD-ROM Drive

CD-RW drive

$20 dollar Dell speakers(I don't use sound much, my aprents get angry when they hear me split people open from the other rooms :) )

US Robotics 56k Modem ( Cable/DSL not available, sattelite no good for games)

SB Live! VALUE

really loud fans

floppy drive that I've never used

MS Trackball Explorer

Wireless Logitech keyboard

lotsa dust

Firewire card

really loud fans

19' ghetto Dell monitor (used as second monitor, cheaper than Dell 17 inches!) and 21" Trintor Monitor to play games on

WinXP Home

Oh, and the systems got really annoying fans. The only reason I might turn on my speakers will be to drown the sound out (even with my spoeakers at full blast, the sound of the fans is still audible, hehe

Oh, and "Dying Weasel" hasn't been turned off since August 4th, 2001, save the GF4 upgrade from a GF2Ultra and WinXP installation, maybe thats why the fans been so loud....

System was born on February 27th, 2001

Upgrades include GF4, DVD-Drive, Gainward Sticker next to the P4 sticker, removal of Dell medallions (Dude, I got a Dell :( ), Firewire card

3DMark Score: 8455(good for my system)

Codecreatures score: 2295 (w00t! about 30 fps!!!!)

US Robotics 56k Modem ( Cable/DSL not available, sattelite no good for games)

Actually, with the way Q3's netcode is set-up, sattelite is the best connection you can get.

With the ridiculous download bandwidth you can receive a smooth, ultra-low ping set of data from the server but because you can only send at modem speeds you send a very jerky, high-ping set of data back.

Reslt: You see everything as if you were on cable/DSL but everyone else sees you 'ghost' past them. I've never this kind of connection in Q3F, players appearing at one location in a room, killing you and then myseriously vanishing. It's evil.
