ArcaneSix Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 omg this skin (er model) is going to be great!!! keep up the great work!!!
Yecti Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 The model is quite 1337.5. But I could reccomend cleaving his biceps a bit more. Otherwise, even with motion and 3d accel, he's going to have pyramids on his arms. The rest of it looks superb, curves are wonderful. Armor is extremely accurate. Great work.
BloodRiot Posted April 27, 2002 Author Posted April 27, 2002 Sorry guyz... but i took a night off... a night for me to do JACK SHIFT!!!!....I needed some rest So i'll be back to work tonite. No worries to all modelers. I'll be posting a tutorial when i'm through with this.
gonk-raider Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 NIGHT OFF?!?!?! AHHH!!! you might as well have told me you blew up my
StrWrsXprt Posted April 27, 2002 Posted April 27, 2002 will you need any testers once you get it in game? if so, please let me be a tester! this model looks fantastic!
dillinger Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 The model is in fact great. But i have to comment on the skinning. What is up with the neon colors on the jetpack? :\ I think you should reskin his jet pack at least, without the bright colors. Otherwise, looks great.
Absath Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 well dillinger, those colors were directly sampled from multiple tech pictures of jango's actual jetpack. Also, the colors that appear in the model viewer are not the same when they appear in-game. the lighting in jk2 usually washes out colors a bit, so they have to be made darker in the actually skin images so that they turn out ok in-game. so try not to worry yourself about it until the skin is actually finished. -Abs
Ten Tigers Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 This is a huge thread and I dont have the time/patients to see if the question has been asked/answered. Is this being done in a format where others can skin it? Because I would love to see a black and grey mandalorian. Or even white and black. Black and gold. Black and red. You get the point. Other than that, I tip my hat to you. You have true talent and I hope you can land a job doing this professionally. 4EVR
Darth Draugmahl Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 All formats are reskinnable my friend. There has to be a skin file that comes with the model and make edits using it a base if you are so inclined. How difficult that will be only the authors know because I don't know what the skinmap looks like but it is prefectly possible,
BloodRiot Posted April 28, 2002 Author Posted April 28, 2002 After it's done I'll be posting a model with the wireframe jpg's so that anyone can skin it from scratch if they like.
zeek2304 Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 One question . . . by the time of its release, do you think you will have figured out how to make it work in SP? Believe me, I don't know about everyone else, but I would much rather be jango all the time instead of just during MP.
Darth Skyw@lker Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 I hope its not too late to make an adjustment... no offense, but those feet look like elve feet. Their much too high, like hes got some high-heel shoes. You should take a good look at one of th models of the game, to make the feet more accurate.
BloodRiot Posted April 28, 2002 Author Posted April 28, 2002 The feet are not like those pictures... MD3View uses a freaky perspective view. It screws up the whole model. I wonder why no one ever noticed that the legs were too short... or the arms too long... cuz that''s what MD3View does to the models...at least my model
BloodRiot Posted April 28, 2002 Author Posted April 28, 2002 Ok.. new update on model. *Changed the Holsters. *Applied the caps (for dismemberment) This image is to show how the model appears in 3ds Max and not md3view. Notice the diference in the feet. Also that last picture was out of date. The antenna range finder has also been changed.
Cmdr. Antilles Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 It's... Beautiful! I didn't read all 200 pages of this thread, but are you planning on making a Boba Fett model too? (really just a skin, I guess)
Absath Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 Yes, we will be doing Boba Fett after Jango is completly finished. Its more than just a skin because Boba and Jango have some polygonal differences, such as the shawl and leg armor disparancies. So Blood will be reworking the Jango model and then ill skin it. Ive actually already started working on the Boba skin while i wait for blood to finish the conversion work on Jango. Once the conversion is done, blood will tweak the model, while i tweak the skin. once we're both satisfied that its as close to perfect as we can get it, then we'll take a short break and dive into Boba. -Abs
Ten Tigers Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 Hell yeah!!! Boba/Jango Fett in SP would own!!! Dude, looking at that model and knowing it wont be long till we can play as a mandalorian makes me emotional. And the fact that you remembered to put in dismemberment points makes me want to cry. I salute you both...
Tarison Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 Wow, that model's pretty sweet. Can't wait to see it out and about! Definitely some talent out there.
gonk-raider Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 now, is there a way to equip jango and boba with his weapons that come with his armor or just uniqe weapons for sp with out hte code?
