All Newbies...the game's a month old!!

Alright,

I'm getting pretty tired of everyone accusing everyone of being a newbie. The game's just a little over a month old! So how in the world can anyone be calling anyone a newbie since it's only been out for a short amount of time?! IT"S A FREAKIN GAME PEOPLE! We're all learning and should be enjoying instead of complaining about heavy stances, spinning spasmodically, and whatever else is out there! Get a life and relax a little!

If you're gonna post then read the message, not just the title.

Well 786...people aren't really calling people newbies but n))bs. Which is a diffrent thing. n00bs are people who do stupid crap and don't read the manual. I personally don't like labeling a group of people. I prefer to label an individual.

Ok, this is a "n00b"

I run around using force push, and grip whenever i can. I use only one style and that is the overhead slash in heavy stance. I will only use these things and one of my favourite tactics is to hide in a corner in a room that has ledges and constantly knock people over the cliff. If someone uses force absorb i will call them cheap and lame and a ****y and i will call them names non-stop and i will start a vote to get them kicked from the server because they killed me.

now, this is a "newb"

Crap! he killed me again, i should try a new stance, maybe i won't die so much. I haven't quite figured out how to walk on the walls just yet, i did it once by accident, i'll refrain from asking any questions until i can read through the manual to see if they are in there. Later on i will ask for tips and help and some tactics for this game.

Notice, being a newb, or a newbie is NOT A BAD THING. It just means you don't have a lot of experience. a n00b is someone who is cheap and lame and refuses to use any kind of variety, the minute you figure out how to counter them they are on you with retarded name calling until you log off the server.

However, a lot of people just lable people as a "n00b" when really the person is trying to ask for some advice from someone with an ego problem.

thank you for not having a hegemonic post full of self supremacy in game styles...

you, my friend, qualify as a n00b in my book, and in my book, a n00b is someone who displays very ignorant 'insights'

Actually, many people wrongly have attitudes of yours, and while if I were to suppress your opinion, I would be contradicting my own, please consider the logic of stuff. =)

btw, that sentence above sounded weird to me, if anyone sees any grammatical errors, please tell me :)

In MY OPINION....... :)

Having two separate groups of people with the same name just different spellings is kinda retarded. Like Players and a Playerz. You come on a forum, people talk about how Playerz suck... they do this and that, and you get others coming on, saying hey just because I play doesn't mean I suck! Then the other group says "oh no, I'm talkin bout playerz, something totally different". It's almost like it's designed to cause conflict.

n00b is an elitist term. You can't deny it. It's origin stems from the line of thinking that the worst possible insult is to be called unskilled. The innocent version, newbie, has been around a lot longer (with its ancestral roots in military jargon), and somewhere along the way got perverted and converted into l337 speak......n00b. To most of humanity the term newbie means someone who is a rookie, prone to making stupid mistakes, and generally doesn't have a clue to whats going on. To l337 (the elite translation of the word 'elite', for those who never knew) gamers, who almost to a tee will swear they never been unskilled at any game, n00b is the worst possible thing you could be called.

It's their catchall phrase for people who spam, whore, exploit, abuse tactics, sore losers, whiners, basically all the undesirables in the on-line world, wrapped into one convenient word which could never possibly describe them (since they are so skilled)...n00b.

Back to my main point, having two spellings of the same word to mean basically two almost polar opposite things is in itself pretty ignorant :) How about we call the newbies newbies, and call the n00bs what they really are, whiners, push whores, whatever, and stop contaminating and confusing the situation?

Arawyns right about the n00b thing. The newbie. Its new to the game. Its how much you know, not how much you´ve played this game. If someone learns everything in 15 minutes and kicks a** with the saber in every style hes not a newbie anymore.

It looks pretty good to me, a little convoluted, but don't think I'm criticizing, I can't go for more than 5 minutes without making a convoluted sentence...I swear I could go for hours without using that per-i-od thing...
