sithlord-II
Hi guys here are a few quick preview shots of a model i am working on Exar Kun http://www.geocities.com/sithlordiii2001/exarkun6.txt the files go from 6 - 11 right now its pretty high poly and lacking some details (belt, boot details, etc, but that's because i've only been working on it for a couple of days now i figure i can have the model set to go within a week should all go to plan i do realize the legs look a bit spindly, i think that is because of the shading on the legs using a grey color for that image sithlordii

Darth Matrix
I know it's an early model, but Exar Kun seems to look younger in the comics. He looks too old in your model. Great work, I look forward it!
JRA_Wolf
That is SO awesome looking, man...Exar Kun is my favorite character of all time, so this is a true gift...Can you tell me how you modeled the head? It looks awesome, and very lifelike (except for the missing eyes ). Everything looks great man...Can't wait to see it skinned and finished :D
sithlord-II
hi there i do know the crotch looks a bit... cartoony thats why the model is a work in progress heheheh but i did the head in 3d studio, started with spline modelling, then cross sectioning and surfacing, converted to editable mesh then have used straight edge extruding, etc to make the rest of it here are a few new shots from last nite http://www.geocities.com/sithlordiii2001/exarkun12.txt http://www.geocities.com/sithlordiii2001/exarkun13.txt http://www.geocities.com/sithlordiii2001/exarkun14.txt and this is one of the *many* source images provided to me by Limbonik/L2.0, if u guys want to see what exar looks like http://www.geocities.com/sithlordiii2001/exarcomic.txt

malinkie
Finished one and on to another. i like the way you work man. Keep churning out those great models. Cheers
Sintax
Looks good, but I think he needs more bulk, broaden him up a bit and it should be fine. For concept art I would recommend anything by Gosset (He's the best of all the Tales of the Jedi pencilers IMO) preferebly from the first 3 of his series (cant remember name...grrrrrrrrrrr)
mIRC
Yes, sithlord! You have no idea how long I've been waiting for an Exar Kun model! Hes my favorite character! You better not mess this up! Do you need any pics of him at all? The slightly older Exar Kun is the best one. The one with the pauldrons and cape. Before he got the metal arm though. neo6
Looks great, what program do you use? How do you make the skin for him?
Oobedoob Benobi
Even though i don't know who the hell he is, nice work he looks kick ass.
sithlord-II
hi again i will try and add some bulk to his frame but as it is i'm stretching it a bit past the normal skeleton setup, id on't want to make the character toomuch bulkier than the base skeleton or else i will end up with some odd deformations :\ trying, tho
Kinja
All I gotta say is, Kicks Booty mang!

Vesentac
damn... working on Exar huh? I think you should make Exar with the Sith weapon.... and please dont forget the pony tail. SDK pls, we need cloaks on these jedi!! Now my question to Lebonik 2.0 is who is doing Ulic Qel-Droma (my fav jedi)?
AKPiggott
That looks great Sith... something that's been troubling me is that no one has yet made a GHOUL facial animation compatible model yet... I hope you can incorprate that into your model, because then people can use them for cutscenes in SP editing....
sithlord-II
well i'd like to be able to incorporate the facial setup, but i might be unable to due to the limits that each mesh part has for the amount of bones it can use the limit is between 8 and 10 i believe, and there are about 12 to 15 bones alone for the face unless i am mistaken BTW he does have his ponytail
sithlord-II
http://www.geocities.com/sithlordiii2001/exar_textured3.txt http://www.geocities.com/sithlordiii2001/exar_textured5.txt well thats almost rdy to go i should have the UV mapping all done today, then i can try and import it into the game. After that, i will just be left waiting for the texture map to be finished, i think i will start on it and hand the reigns off to someone more experienced sithlordii
Darth Caedes
Hope these help ya, Sithlord. Though you probably already have them. They're my favorite pics. Exar Kun Pics: http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/exarkun/img/eu_bg.jpg http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/exarkun/img/bts_bg.jpg http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/exarkun/img/curve.jpg -Darth Caedes- P.S: It goes without saying that you did a l33t job on the Vader saber (and the whole model, ofcourse).. Perhaps you could do Exar's saber? It kinda looks like a double headed serpent.. L33tness. :>

Lime-Light
Is it just me, or does he not quite fill up those big shoulder pads? I think he should be scaled up a bit, or the head and shoulders down. Heh....head and shoulders.... Wiat, I just noticed you're in Edmonton, Sith. What part? I moved from Edmonton 6 months ago and live in Tex now.
