And you're right, it would look much better if I were standing there. Lol! Just kidding people. AgentSmith
From starwars.com new information on the upcoming Dark Horse Star Wars Republic issue #49: "The Clone Wars begin in comics form. As the ongoing Star Wars: Republic title spans the years between Episode II and III, it will chronicle the events of the Clone Wars. The elite Jedi are now the guiding generals of the Republic's clone army, and the battle against the Separatists spreads across the galaxy. On the space station known as the Wheel, Jedi Knight Aayla Secura seeks out an unscrupulous gunrunner with badly needed intelligence regarding Separatist plans. Cloak and dagger is a dangerous game, and the rules of the Jedi Code often get in the way. How far will a Jedi go to gain the advantage in the ongoing war? Star Wars: Republic #49, by John Ostrander and Jan Duursema, is scheduled for release on December 18." You can find the entire December 2002 comics overview of starwars.com here. That's great, sounds like issue #49 will feature plenty of Aayla which is awesome great!

AgentSmith
Darkhorse.com has updated its release schedule pages and features the preview of the upcoming Star Wars Republic #49. I quote: "With the Battle of Geonosis, the galaxy is officially plunged into war. As the Jedi Council struggles with their new role as leaders of the Republic's clone army, other Jedi operatives have taken on the job of intelligence gathering. On a vast space station known as "The Wheel," Jedi knight Aayla Secura is searching for a notorious gun-runner who can help her intercept the Separatist's latest secret plans. But spying is a dirty business, and operatives are often more expendable than the information they possess. Is this what being a Jedi has come to? With this issue, Star Wars: Republic jumps into the as yet unrevealed events in the time period between Episode II and Episode III -- the Clone Wars! If you're wondering what happens next after Attack of the Clones, this is where you find the answers!" You can find the entire page here. Star Wars Republic #49 is scheduled for release on December 18, 2002.
AgentSmith
The new issue of Star Wars Insider (the magazine of the US Star Wars fanclub), #62 features Aayla Secura on the cover page and has an article about '16 Famous Jedi' which includes Aayla. Amy Allen, who portrayed Aayla in Episode II did an interview for Star Wars Insider #62 so expect at least an article or several paragraphs on her in the Aayla feature. You can view the entire feature on Star Wars Insider #62 here

Hannibal
Where'd everybody go? Smith just posted 6 times in a row with no reply. Don't tell me only his love for Aayla has lasted.
AgentSmith
Hannibal, that's possible and would be sad. Though it'd also be surprising since Aayla's popularity is still growing.
AgentSmith
For those interested the comic artist Jan Duursema, who first created Aayla Secura (together with John Ostrander) and who pencils Aayla in nearly all of the Dark Horse Star Wars comics now has her own website at www.janduursema.com. It's a cool site with a message board where you can talk to Ms. Duursema herself. So check it out!
Dragonlancer
Nope, I think everyone's just getting lazy. I'm still an Aayla Secura fan. One thing, the new "Star Wars Insider" issue has an interview with Amy Allen. So go pick it up if you're interested. Btw, thanks for the pics agentsmith, please continue to post them. Lol, all the more for my HD to store up.
AgentSmith
Dragonlancer, that's possible indeed. Though a bit sad. Don't worry I'll try to post a smuch as I can still. I can't get Star Wars Insider where I live, and if it ever gets to specialized stores it'll be there only as early as October so I'll have to wait still. AgentSmith
Apparently according to reports from other Aayla Secura fans Star Wars 'Rite of Passage 4' has been released on September 18 after all since many found and purchased a copy! (Apparently Dark Horse was wrong with the date of release they had up at the Dark Horse's Website.) So check out the stores for your copy! From what they say this issue just blows all the previous ones away!!! I can't wait to get it!
