AgentSmith
Random, great that you got your "Theater Wide" promo photo autographed by Ms. Allen and a Topps Widevision card to boot! (Thanks, I hope to get mine shipped out to me someday soon.) Well I don't know exactly how you are a fan and how you consider Aayla but many Star Wars fans tend to have a favorite character. (To me it is Aayla Secura, the fact that she's a female character is rather insignificant to my being a fan of the character, so that doesn't really play any part.) Having fun with such a hobby and being passionate is often more joyous than just living your life without any joy or divertisement, I rather be passionate than be a 'grey' person so to speak. Besides, knowing evrything and collecting everything for a character like Aayla Secura is doable, fun and far less a dauntingly expensive task than say knowing and collecting all of a character like Obi-Wan or Darth Vader. AgentSmith
Some Aayla Secura fanart I ran accross online: Black&white pencil Aayla fanart by 'Zemog' Gomez, from the TheForce.Net Art Museum. Colored anime style Aayla fanart by DMac.

Macbeth2k1
Thanks for the art links, I always like seeing other people's vison of Aayla. Witch reminds me, I ought to draw some more for myself, but its like anything else, I gotta be in the mood. If I try to force a drawing out I'll hate it and half-arse it. Nobody wants that. And some good points about collecting. I think that the "hugeness" of SW was what put me off of the EU for so long. It would be pretty hard to track down everything for Han or any of the major players. Almost impossible. Just lucky I've got somebody like you keeping an eye out for all the news I need. Thanks man! leXX
I love both those fanarts, especially the anime style one. Be sure to post more from DMac if you come across any. Thnx. As for the being too obsessed thing, well look at it this way, if you can't do what you enjoy and love, what can you do? It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, so long are you are happy. =)
AgentSmith
Random, I'm looking forward to seeing your new fanartworks. Hope you make some in the future still. No problem, I just try and find the news or stay tuned to it, I'll certainly miss scoops or hot news items here and ther ebut when I do see something I try and share with all fans asap. leXX, glad you like the fanartworks, they are pretty cool indeed! I do agree with your wise words, very well said and even words to live by!
AgentSmith
Starwars.com Hyperspace has now confirmed that Jedi Master Plo Koon will be appearing in Episode III (possibly even with some dialogue lines), again played by Matt Sloan who portrayed the character in Episode II. This means that now, only days before shooting is to begin, most prominent Jedi and background Jedi who appeared in Episode II have now been confirmed (or denied) to appear in Episode III: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Yoda, Plo Koon, Ki-Adi Mundi, Stas Allie, Bultar Swan, Shaak Ti, Luminara Undulli, Barriss Offee, Saesee Tinn, Agen Kolar, ... but not Aayla Secura. There has been no word nor reliable rumor about Aayla Secura returning in Episode III (and hence portrayed by Amy Allen). Unfortunately it's beginning to look like Aayla Secura may not appear in Episode III. (Which seeing how many other Jedi from Episode II are returning is quite disappointing.) Either the character doesn't feature in Episode III (script) or perhaps Ms. Allen who portrayed the character is not available to take up the role again (or may have declined or not been contacted for it). Well, one must hope still...

AgentSmith
Starwars.com posted a feature news article on Episode III casting, with a fair update of actors/actresses returning or newly cast for characters to appear in Episode III. Unfortunately no official word yet on the possible appearance of Aayla Secura (as portrayed by Amy Allen) in Epsiode III.
AgentSmith
Regrettably I must inform that the Aayla Secura fansite at http://www.temoto.co.uk/aayla has been removed indefinately.
leXX
Awww, that's sad! ='( Why has it been removed?
AgentSmith
Well the Aayla fansite did not have its own domain name but was rather a part/subsection of an existing domain/website. The owner was faced with a rather exorbitant and unfair cost to keep that domain name for another year. I agree with his decision to not keep it at the amount demanded of him. But I'm sure Aayla will be back online someday.
leXX
There is a great new blue Twi'lek main character for KOTOR called Mission Vao. She sounds like a Han Solo type character, with her Wookie friend Zaalbar. It will be interesting to see how her character develops throughout the game. =) http://www.lucasarts.com/products/swkotor/G_characters.html http://www.starwarsknights.com/images/mission_800.jpg
AgentSmith
Here is some of Kampilans latest Aayla Secura themed fan artworks. (Currently hosted at http://www.yodaminch.com.) Some rather cool art, especially the colored 'Clone Wars' themed pieces are terrific. A lot of detail is visible in the underlying pencils and a very good coloring job was done. Especially Aayla Secura and the ARC Trooper were very well rendered.
Tufkad
Hmm, this thread is far too long to read, I'm just gonna throw in my two cents from the discussion on the first page: Natalie Portman > All other females.
AgentSmith
Tufkad, taste is personal so. (Besides the point of this thread isn't really to gawk at the actress who portrays Aayla Secure, nor to focus on the physical beauty of any -Star Wars- actress and such. )
