Aayla Secura!!!

Tufkad, taste is personal so. (Besides the point of this thread isn't really to gawk at the actress who portrays Aayla Secure, nor to focus on the physical beauty of any -Star Wars- actress and such. )

That's where you're wrong. Every thread, every messageboard, every forum, every email, every chat room, every online discussion in any form should be about how beautiful Natalie Portman is. :amidala:

If you want to talk about Natalie Portman, start a new thread about her. This thread is for talk about Aayla Secura only, so quit spamming it. I will delete any further irrelevent posts and reduce your post counts. Consider this your first and last warning.

Rebelscum.com posted a photo gallery of the 11 Star Wars celebrity guests that C2 Ventures provided to attend last weekend's Wizard World Chicago Con.

Here is their photo of Amy Allen (who portrayed Aayla Secura in Episode II) at the con:

Here is Amy Allen flanked on the left by Leeanna Walsman (Zam Wesell - Episode II) and on the right by Michonne Bourriague (Aurra Sing - Episode I) and Shannon Baksa (Mara Jade):

Dark Horse "Star Wars: Jedi - Aayla Secura" with art by Jan Duursema and story by John Ostrander is scheduled for release tomorrow, August 20.

A 48 pages one shot issue centering around blue Twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura, this is the issue synopsis as on the Dark Horse Website:

"Beautiful twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura goes undercover to ferret out a Separatist enclave. But when her cover is blown, Aayla finds herself going up against famed bounty hunter (and infamous Jedi killer) Aurra Sing!"

This is the awesome cover art created by Jan Duursema:

Just read it and it's brilliant. I won't spoil it for you, in case you haven't read it yet, but I'll just say it has a great storyline (kickass fight), and the artwork is amazing. They have done our Aayla proud. :D

Very interesting to read the back story of Aurra Sing too. She is a great character.

I agree, "Jedi: Aayla Secura" is an amazing issue, the art was absolutely breathtaking and the story held such intriguing and compelling character depth and development (not only for Aayla but the supporting characters too). :D

The central Clone Wars story of the issue is good but it's the intelligent dialogue and intricate character depth/developement that combined with Jan Duursema's breathtaking artwork really takes this issue to the next level. :)

Aurra Sing did look frightening, well rendered how her hate and anger showed. Luckily Aayla's elegant beauty offered serenity in contrast. :) (Great how the paradoxal contrast between Aayla and Aurra despite such similar pasts was brought forth.)

What struck me too was the subtle differences and transition in both Aayla's and Quinlan's appearances/facial features throughout the different flashbacks compared to who they are at the current time. (Quinlan looks more worn, brooding through the years, his stubble and hair change. Aayla's face becoming more defined, more feminin. Great detailing that speaks of Jan Duursema's incomparable skills.) :)

A must have!

Smith, thanks for the heads up on the Dallas Comic Con! I've got my ticket ordered and a room booked. Its about stinking time I got a convention within driving distance.

I'll get to meet Amy Allen (really the only reason I'd need to go), Michonne Bourriague (My favorite character from EP1), Rena Owen, Anthony Daniels, and get this Darth Vader Dave Prowse! There are some other big names too, but they're not really on my list of favorits. And a lot of comic artists, but I only buy SW comics anymore.

What do you suppose I should take for signing? I've got just about every photo avalable from Amy's webstore. I was thinking of taking the new Jedi comic, and my old Dark Horse comics. I've already got an action figure. Would be nice if Jan was there to sign the comics too...maybe some other time.

Great that you will attend the Dallas Comic-Con and get to finally meet Amy Allen Random! No doubt it'll be a great experience! :)

If you want you can always take some of your fanart with you, Ms. Allen generally appreciates fans who show/submit fanart - she even has some in her "Aayla" scrapbook which she takes with her to conventions. (I suggest you sift through it, she generally has it with her to show to fans. Has some great stuff in it!) :) I hope you have a great time at the con and an excellent and memorable experience in meeting Amy!

You can always purchase promo photo's from Amy there and have them autographed and personalized.

The "Jedi - Aayla" comic is a great idea to get signed, the other Aayla comics too. I have two Aayla figures autographed, that's always a great item to have signed. Take with you what you wish to get signed and perhaps a few extra items just in case, just make sure you pack it safely! ;) Enjoy the con!

On eBay watch for Aayla Secura related items, I ran into this quite amazing auction for an Aayla Secura Twi'lek costume replica!

Quite complete as well, the auction is for the entire costume, with fully -acurately- colored headteails, pants, top, vest and even the necessary airbrush set and blue body makeup paint!

Check out some of the images:

Yah, I saw that, but honestly...I don't think I could pull off wearing it. lol!

Unless the photos have been flipped, I think she put the arm on the wrong side. But other than that it looks great.

I saw she was asking $70 at first, I'm glad she got more than that for all the work that went into making it.

Well spotted. Didn't even notice.

Yeah, I'm glad she got a good price too. I'm amazed at the dedication of some fans.

The only thing that puzzles me is why did she sell it? I would have thought that those cosplay type people put so much work and love into their creations that you'd have to set their house on fire to get them to part with it.

Maybe she made a better one? But I'd still think that she'd keep them all.
