Darthold X: I ripped the stormtroopers hands out of the XSI file so I wouldn't have to mess around too much with them...

 

Lime Light: His ears are pretty close to Mauls, if not a bit on the small side. I was amazed at how big they really are after studying all the reference material...

Looks like you are going with an expresion on the face like this: http://www.theforce.net/multimedia/.../DarthMaul2.jpg I think something like this one: http://www.theforce.net/multimedia/archive/Images/Episode_1/Characters/Darth_Maul/maulmean.jpg would look better in game.

Thanks for all the Reference everyone.

 

Just a quick line to tell you all that Maul is gonna slow down for a bit.........

 

I'm having eihter an OS, Memorey, or MAX problem right now and can hardly run it. I was hoping to start getting the UV maps going tonight after a bit of cleanup, but MAX is telling me i'm out of memory to run it, so obviously, until I get it figured out, Maul Progress will be slow...........

 

:(

 

I'll keep you posted when things are up and runnig again. Hopefully by the weekend.

I've been following the model's progress on the polycount forums. Coming together nicely. If you want, I can unwrap the model for you. I've done it long enough to know what goes where and would like to speed things along. Let me know what you think.

If you like and have the needed knowledge you could help Luuke and me with the Count Dooku model. We have some problems getting the skin to the model and out the skeleton back to it.

3DSMax experience would be good, because I have none.

Go to this thread and see what we did so far, if you are interested. Would be really nice since we are stuck at the moment, because we both never made human models with skeleton before, just objects and cars.

Please post an answer, we need the help.

Kman, thanks for the offer, but I'm trying to do this one on my own. Trying to build a portfolio you know. BUT... Email me I'm in need of some other things...

 

MAX is fixed, the model was corrupted, but I got it fixed.

 

Gonna start unwrapping him tomorrow.

Another Darth for the Fans... he's looking good. His face looks good. If you still intend to get more detail done, you could try http://www.raypark.com.. there's some unpainted and casual pics of Park. Might help ya... oh and it has some good pics of Maul too.

 

I wanna see this one done. And yer probably doing the only model my brother wil ever want :p

 

Anyway.. keep up the good work.

 

Ps: Are you CheshireKat from Clan Malkavian from WodMod? If you are.. then we have already been partners in modeling before :p

 

EDIT: HAHAH I got post nº 69 on this one :laughing:

No Blood, I'm just Cheshire from Polycount...

 

Kat was added because I had registered here for something else, but forgot the password, and just added kat to get things going.

 

Anyways, I'm done modeling him, but I wont be posting any updates till I get the UV's done, and maybe the head skinned.
