Homosexual Ewok
I can't believe I am saying this but I think it should end (the movies) with episode 3. The books and comics should continue, but no more "official" stuff, just expanded universe. To drag it on with countless sequels and television shows would make it feel like less of an epic. Look no further than Star Trek for an example of what I mean.
Trahern Valley
I'd like to see what happens after the original trilogy, myself. I'm just worried I won't like it, especially if George keeps directing. (As far as Star Trek is concerned, TNG and DS9 were good, more often than not, once they got going. Voyager should have been a mini-series. Unless it improves, the same goes for Enterprise.) QuietSith
Yah, Star Trek basically sucks after The Next Generation. Lucas should have stopped after the first 3 movies - perhaps started a new story or gave up directing and writing altogether. He did a good job with THX-1138 (which I believe was better than Star Wars) and American Graffiti. He seems good at doing kinda off the wall stuff. Most of these sci-fi/fantasy 'series' of movies and tv-shows need to die off and allow something original and fresh to take their place. The only sci-fi I prefer these days are new episodes of the Outer Limits - but they just dig up old sci-fi stories (that never made it to film/video) and produce them. In fact you may notice some of the Outer Limit's stories are from writers of the old Twilight Zone, it's just that the stories never made it to TV or film. Perhaps unique short story telling is the way to go, to avoid all the soap opera melodrama and tendency toward inconsistency that tends to happen in a series. Plus, a long series of watching the same people over again is simply boring.
