Sixkiller Posted May 26, 2002 Posted May 26, 2002 how come yoda always is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow but in the fight against DOOKU he is as fast as a formula 1 racing car even faster???? that just doesnt make sence can someone plz tell me how that is possible?????
Yoda`s Padawan Posted May 26, 2002 Posted May 26, 2002 It`s not so difficult to find out why Yoda is so fast! On the one hand he had used the force to became so fast... On the other hand, he only play the role of the slow Jedi-Master. Nobody would think that he could fight so good!!!
ValorXII Posted May 26, 2002 Posted May 26, 2002 He has been conserving energy. During the fight he manipulates the space around him to force (Pun intended) him to wherever he wants to move.
Nawara Ven Posted May 26, 2002 Posted May 26, 2002 Yoda looks like he aged a lot, immediately after fighting Darth T. Moving so fast probably drained a lot of his energy.
C'jais Posted May 26, 2002 Posted May 26, 2002 Compare it to a story from a friend of mine: One of his karate trainers is really old, and he never engaged in combat training with them, only katas and technique training. But one day he delivered a massive kick out of nowhere which smashed a pupil a meter or so back. Quite surprising, no one had any idea he could have done that. That's the best example i could come up with. I think Yoda just doesn't like to show off and demonstrate his mastery of the force, because that would be flaunting of his powers and that is not how one should use them (a lil hint to anakin here). Of course he used the force to help him move faster, but all jedis use the force to help them in combat one way or another. I think yoda could engage in that sort of combat on a daily scale if he wanted to, but he doesn't. And of course he is tired, he just moved a massive object using the force.
squid808 Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 i'm thinking something like viagra or celebrex or one of those drugs on tv with the list of side effects, and one side effect might be drowsyness (dammit why can't i spell tonight?! fking A!) anyways, yeah...
MotionMan Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 Hes an old guy , but he can use the force whenever needed to enhance his movent and kick ass.
Redwing Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 It's quite obvious, actually. Yoda doesn't need a cane, or any sort of support, just like Palpatine doesn't need a walking stick. It's all part of his illusion. Judge me by my size, will you?
MotionMan Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 You seen him kick ass with a light saber now see him without the robe... http://theforce.net/humor/episodei/pics/h_yodanater.jpg

Vestril Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 I think it has less to do with subterfuge and more to do with the fact that Yoda is physically incabable of walking without a cane. With the Force, though, he can do anything, but using that kind of power all the time is foolish, and even if he could--it would be un-Yodalike to flaunt his power in that way.
Master Eagles Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 I can answer this one. The reason Yoda moves so slowly when hes not fighting is because Jedi's are ment to avoid confentation when ever possible. So to do this, they always hide their skills and power. And this is what Yoda does. He makes himself look quite weak and frail simple so he hides his true power. But why no one else does it, I don't know.
Surfnshannon Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 Yoda reminds me of Mr Miogi from the karate kid you under estimate their ability according to their age and size
