No matter how good your download rate is, it's gonna be affected by these factors and more. Or atleast that's what I've believed so far. Could be wrong of course. RoyalGuard Posted May 26, 2002 Share Posted May 26, 2002 Well, the devs have said that you won't need ADSL or equivalent to play the game, but you'll probably have to make sacrifices in terms of detail levels, texture resolution and so on, plus there's the unreliablility of dial-up connections (line quality and so forth) that all make getting a good connection a priority if you want to enjoy SW galaxies to the full.
