heh, the nostrils are basically in the right position, you have them basically right about where the noze begins to curve back

I'm a little sleepy, but I took one quick screenshot before I'm off to bed http://www.drivingcatstudios.com/sithPalpatine.JPG

It looks great from over here :)

You heard the man, he wants feedback :)

the eyes look just right now!!! congratulations, it was worth all these corrections! the chin is perfect, too. but i think the nose is a little too small now, i don't remember that this problem was on any earlier screenshot, so it's maybe because of you having something changed, or the skin makes the nose that small. apart from that it looks awesome!!!

This model has improved basically with every pic without fail. The eyes, thumbs up. The chin, thumbs up. I even like his expression. I also like the way you did the skin to where his wrinkles blend in. However, the wrinkles I think need to be slightly more defined. I also agree that the nose is a bit too narrow at the bottom, and the skin tone a bit too heallthy. Finally, you might want to make his mouth and chin slightly wider. You are VERY close. Great job.

Edit: One more thing. his mouth position should go up like a centimeter or two, as well as his chin. His mouth is closer to his nose in the reference shot.

it looks good and all but i think that the hood shadow should be fixed, his face isnt flat and the shadow makes it look like it is, it shouldnt be so straight. it can accent the wrinkles more if it is altered a little. not alot but enough to make it more realistic looking.

id also make his eyes a little greyer, they seem to be too bright and stand out quite a bit, his eyes didnt seem that bright in the movies.

Definitely getting closer with every pic. One thing about skinning shadows though is to keep in mind that you don't want an incredibly defined border. When in-game, light could presumably be reflecting off of dozens of surfaces creating a much softer effect. If you're in photoshop you'll probably want to use the airbrush with one of the larger soft brushes(circular with blurred outer edges) on overlay with a lower opacity to define a rough edge to the shadow, and then layer your way up to the top of the head, ever-so-slightly darkening as you move upward and outward under the hood.

very nice work!:)

I think it was good that you listened to the constructive critiscism after the first skin pictures cos everything is looking really good now!

I dont know much about the stages a model needs to go through before release but as this model has worked in game and the textures are in the final stages am i right in thinking a release isnt far away? or are there other things you have left to do?

I'm so pumped up, we've got three great skinners on this project :) All three of you guys just blow my mind every pic

Darth-Nasty, your right, the model is essentially finished. I have to re-map the hood which is way off, but other than some weighting issues (the hood clips a little, the bottem of the robe has a slight problem) the model is basically final, it's mostly just skinwork now.
