I don't know which movie i liked better but i have some points i liked in EACH movie.

Ep. I - I liked the podracing scene, that was awesome. I also like the lightsaber battle with Maul more than with Dooku in 2, it was longer and more exiting.

Ep. II - I liked a little bit of the love story in it, it made it more intresting to the point that you didn't want padme to die and she was constantly in danger... Also i liked how Yoda fought at the end and how he was jumping around, that was a very good scene... What do you think?

I liked Both.

some didnt like the 1st one, but I think it has to be like that in order to tell the whole story. The 1st was fine to me. The only thing is that they could have made jar jar's voice a little less high pitched.

Same goes for the 2nd. I loved it.

You cant please everyone. Some wanted to see yoda fight, some didnt. some wanted to see the love story others didnt. some always wanted to see alot of jedi in action, others just picked it all apart. I enjoyed it all.

Oh thank goodness, others who liked episode 1, i cannot understand atall why everyone hated these movies so much...i LOVE them....episode 1 however was nowhere near as cool as episode 2, the way that they started bringing all the movies together was VERY exciting for me...when the geonosians had the death star plans.....i almost soiled myself i was so excited....and then.....at the end....when the clone troopers were loading onto the pre star destroyers....and the imperial march started playing.......i got shivers.....episode 2 was frickin cool

I posted this thread because i knew there were some ppl out there that like BOTH SW's as much as me and i found some... OMG i know what you mean, when all those clones marching so perfectly....It was sooooooooo awesome.... I could really relate to you, With the soldiers marching and the podracing, i got the shivers also. I hope they come out with a whole bunch more SEQUALS to starwars... That would be really cool

I enjoyed both movies immensely, because they told a continuing story that needed to be told. Some critics didn't like Episode 1, and they have a right to their opinion, But, both movies were great and both will someday be considered classics in the same vein as Episodes IV, V, and VI. Episode III shall prove to be the ultimate, because it will be the proverbial bridge that connects them all. Keep forging ahead, Mr. Lucas.:D

Thats maybe because of alot of people that are obsesed with only accepting the OT as SW perfection. And anything new is crap or not to the SW standards that they have created in their heads.

Others are in the "why didnt the new trilogy follow the EU universe?" Category.

Reading these forums and looking at how alot of people rip the new movies apart I can see how you can feel that way.

I, for one dont hesitate on admiting that I enjoyed episode 1 and 2. THEY ARE in fact SW movies. Any movie that is made by lucas to further expand the SW story/saga is taken in well by me.

I know that there are some things that didnt rub people the right way(ex. Jar Jar;) ), but there were also things in the OT that didnt please some too.(ex.ewoks).

You cant please everyone.

Party's Over! -:mace::saberb::jango:-!?!

I like both movies very much, but when forced to choose, I think Episode 2 was the better film, just my opinion.

Episode 1 was needed to tell the entire story. Where did Anakin come from? Why did he fall to the Dark Side? How did Obiwan fail Anakin (from Ben's view, he did)? Where did Palpatine come from? How come no one saw Palpatine's evil scheme coming? etc.

We needed background an Episode 1 delivered. I think it was excellent at setting the stage for Episode 2 and eventually Episode 3.

We see where Obi-wan took on the responsibility of training Anakin as promise to his dying master. We see that Anakin was born through the will of the force. We see the confusion and mystery of the Sith. We see Why Anakin is emotionly distraught, he was older than most Jedi when he started his training and therefor developed a strong emotonal tie to his mother. We see Palpatine manipulate his way from senator to Supreme Chancellor.

Everything we saw in Episode 1 we needed to see. So it was a little slow in the action area. That's okay, because it's still taking place in the Star Wars Universe, and that's good enough for me. As far as the prequels not measuring up to the Original trilogy, it's not because the prequels are lacking anything, it's because some of us are lacking the necessary wonder and excitement that are Childhood carried with it when we first heard the fanfare and saw the opening crawl in those now famous yellow words! We have changed, not the spirit of Star Wars.

The prequels delivered everything they should. A Grand and epic music score by John Williams, saber duels and battlefields, Cheesy one liners that bring a smirk to your face, romance between two unlikely canidates, and of course worlds of color, sound and light that stimulate our minds and imaginations!

I for one say, thank you George Lucas! I'm anxiously waiting for Episode 3!

I agree, I think episode:1 was great, ok I can see why a lotta people probably think JarJar is irritating, but episode:1 does play an important part in the prequals, it's set up the whole entire story for the following 5movies (including the origional trilogy) I think it's unfair to hate the movie based on one character, ok so it might ruin the movie a little bit and spoil it, but I can say the exact same for Anakin in episode:2, I don't hate the movie I just think he was written like a real tosser who seriously needs to grow up and get over things :D I guess that means I'm not a real StarWars fan coz I don't like episode:2 as much as I should have- according to other fans

thats not true, if they say that to you about ep. 2 then you could say the same about ep. 1, most didn't like ep. 1.... whats the diff. if you liked 1 or 2, theres none, so if ppl say that to you go tell them they can shove it....

I liked both movies...:D

Agreed, but you know how some StarWars fans get- if you don't agree with them about every tiny little detail then you're not a real fan and I've seen it here in this very forum, I can't remember what the topic was, think it was someone didn't like episode:2 and so a whole heap of people started slagging this person off and saying he/she wasn't a real StarWars fan and go away blah blah blah. Oh the funniest thing though was saying Lucas did episode:2 for all the real starwars fans. I've seen some pretty stupid comments throughout these forums, but come off it that's probably the most usless and untrue comment I've ever seen LOL.

It doesn't make a difference whether you like episode:1 or episode:2 more or whether you have one and not the other- it's a movie, yes, places like Naboo,Tattoine and Corosant don't exsist, and that creatures like ewoks, gunguns and wookies don't essist either. I know this might come as a huge shock and dissapointment to many of you, and I do apologize, but the StarWars galaxy is make believe, it doesn't exsist. I hope you understand, please it's not the end of the world.

This reminds me of something happened to me in real life. A few months ago, I told one of my friends that I love Star Wars so much since I knew he liked it too. Instead of starting a friendly conversation, he goes "Ok, how many people fit in the Death Star?" and I say "Ummmm..a lot?! :D". Then he gives this big number. So basically he was implying that I'm not a real Star Wars fan because I don't know how many people fit in the Death Star . I don't know technical details, but I love the stories and characters

Aye, I like episode 1 as well, *except*for a few scenes...

(Anakin blowing up the whole droid army by accidentally landing in it.)

(And jar jar versus the droids, 'nuff said.)

And the Maul fight beat the yoda fight in my opinion...

I really don't think episode 1 was a bad SW movie, but as a movie in its own right, it isn't really much...
