Belive that episode 3 should be written by Michael Stakpole I do. Wrote the x-wing and NJO series he did, good they were, Yessss ermm. Hoping that its not been written yet I am. Maybe Lucas will read this and say "hum, Yoda IS smart". Better it would be with x-wing and NJO like action and dialogue. Obviously the dialogue of episode 2 wasn't great and the action in the past two movies was missing something. For past two movies to be better Lucas would have to finish them off with a bang. If Star Wars Episode 3 is bad, series would be ruined I believe. Episode 2 was better then Episode 1 which is good. As long as E3 is better happy i will be.

i think he's ESL...

but anyway... i really want like a gigantic space battle in episode 3. Battle of Endor was pretty big, but the effects just aren't cool enough compared to today. We need like a HUGE thing, with hundreds of capital ships and thousands of fighters. Huge ammounts of turbo lasers flying all over the place... fighters making straffing runs on capital ships. a massive furball... capital ships exchanging broad sides.... all that wonderful stuff. and i want it like 15 minutes long too. none of these short clips.

Very true, the New Trilogy has been lacking in good Space Battles, and they could do SO MUCH with one...

Michael Stackpole shouldn't write episode 3, he's good but...no. 'Nuff said.

My point exactly! More action like space battles and lightsaber fights! More killing ppl must DIE yeesssss errrrrmm.... Alrighty then. Ne way thats why i want it to be written by michael Stackpole cuz he did the x-wing series and he also did NJO which were both good series and therefore he should write episode 3 it would then RULE!

Sounds like you are one of the people who fail to understand the reason why the prequels are totally different to the original Star Wars movies.

They aren't meant to be the same "space battle" type, if you haven't seen that there are instead land battles that have occured in the first two movies.... There has been relative peace in the GFFA for a millenium, so no need for elaborate war machines. That leads to basic land battles.

Different style battles for different kind of universe before Palpatine and Vader take control. Very unlikey to see a lot of TIE's etc since there is 20 years from the events of Episode 3 to ANH......

We are only seeing the foundations of why the galaxy was the way it was at the beginning of ANH. A lot more of the manouvering, showing how the Jedi rotted from the inside, and failed the Republic, and allowed it to collapse....

Still feel you not that there should be more action in next movie? Anakin will be switching to the dark side. He is also supposed to fall into a pit of lava. Hard to see the next movie is. I still think it needs a bit of action the empire has been created by Jar Jar this should cause an uproar and a huge war.

Does there HAVE to be action in the next movie? NO........

So far the prequels have built up slowly TPM relatively slowly, then by the end of AOTC, it was getting rather chaotic. Episode is more likely than not to be a crescendo, topping off the prequels with a bang.

They are building towards something, and hopefully Episode 3 won't let us down. A bit of the Darth at the end will be something to look forward to. Then bring on the 14-15 hr movie marathon for ALL 6 episodes back to back........

i think the last one will have an epic space battle and a little of everything else. i noticed that the action in the NT is loosely similar to that of the OT. Ep I had a space battle that included the explosion of a huge object at the end-very similar to anh. Ep II didnt have any space action except for the asteroid scene- same with esb. Ep II probably had more and better space action than esb even. So i think in Ep III there will be a space battle big enough to satisfy us all. and i bet the final battle will be between anakin and obiwan. anakin will have just turned evil, and renounced being a jedi. he will have a red saber and when they go at it obi will somehow win, while anakin falls into some kind of molten pit (as the tale goes), and it will be very epic indeed ;)

So far the PT actually mirrors pretty closely to the OT. There are some slight differences, but that is why Luke and Anakin, as much as they experience similar things, end up with different lives.

So, look at what the major themes and points of ROTJ, and we have the plot for Episode 3......

Personally, I still think a space battle isn't going to happen, as the last major battle will be a large land battle - probably the conclusion of the Clone Wars, with the action of Anakin/Kenobi interspersed, just like ROTJ.

The PT isn't about space battles, there has been no real time to develop TIE Fighters, they were probably developed in the 20 years between Episode 3 and ANH. There is more of a "primitive" land battle theme to the PT, with the peace, the main weapons are "manpower", troops on the ground to win battles.........

Perhaps like ROTJ, we see a partially built Death Star, after all the plans were exposed in AOTC.........

There won't be a Death Star in Ep3. In every movie featuring the Death Star, it was destroyed and it can't be destroyed yet, and Palpatine stil has to reveal himself as Sideous.

After watching AOTC, I noticed many similatities between the two trilogies and they follow almost an exact formula. Not only in the actions in the movies but the titles themselves. They seem to share a basic structure.

im not saying there will be a death star or anything, and it definitely wont be the climax, but ill bet there WILL be a space battle. george lucas will work it in somehow to apease the fans that want it. it wouldnt be too hard. your right that the technology hasnt really touched on it, and there hasnt been a need for space combat yet, but there will be a battle, even if its a relatively minor one. well, lets hope anyways....

  • 2 weeks later...

I think it would be cool if ep3 ended just as ANH started, with Darth vaders star destroyer chasing leias blockade runner.

Of course, that would be impossible since GL wont make such a jump into the future.
