Why Episode II rocked!!

I really really liked Ep. II, I would go back and see it 20 times if i could. I liked how all the Jedi fought and not just a couple of them, every single one in the jedi council was in the fight.

It had more emotion than Ep. I with Padme and Anakin, I think that was OK of them. I especially liked how Yoda fought just like the rest of you liked it also, i think it was good that the battle was brief because they are setting you up for more and you can't wait to see the next one because the battle was so quick and didn't solve much. In Ep. I, they killed Maul and you had no idea where it was gonna start, so you had no idea how good it was going to be. It was awesome and I like the ending how they left you hanging on whats going to happen next.

Any thoughts on this?

Oh PUUHH-LEASE!

SW-fans have this magical ability to fall deeply in love with a very, very, very minor character in these films...

First we had Boba being elevated to some divine character....

Now we have some blue alien chick we hardly see in more than 5 seconds being worshipped..... geeez, this is nuts....

It is my favorite Star Wars movie. The most action and the most kick ass characters fighting to their hearts delight. The only thing that could be better is episode III or Jango Fett killing every Jedi one by one... but unfortunately we know that won't happen. Damn!

Ender, I just wanted to say that it's really cool seeing the next generation of SW fans, fans that got into the series because of the New Trilogy. To me it deflates the people who attack the NT as being crappy compared to the OT--they just expected the same exact movies, and are now moaning about the fact that they didn't get them. Anyway, I just wanted to say that your enthusiasm is cool :)

Thanks Vestril, that means alot.

I agree on how ppl are losing interest because they wanted the NT to be like the OT. They are always saying that on the posts but i think Lucas is doing fine with his movies and should continue doing them the way he likes. He hasn'te dissapointed ME yet.

I think that peoples' dislike for the Prequel Trillogy stems from two things: 1) They have an idealized picture of the Original Trillogy, and 2) They were expecting the storylines of the Extended Universe to impact the storylines of the Prequels.

I only think Ep. III will be depressing because Padme dies and Anakin turns to the dark side....

Ep. II was very well done and in my opinion has no flaws in it.

I think ppl don't like Ep. I and II because they didn't really go with the story in the OT and that Jar Jar Binks was in it. The people thought Jar Jar was annoying but I thought he was pretty funny how clumsy he was...:D

Any comments on that?

So it's thought, that may not be true though...that was, after all, just a rumor ;)

I thought Ep 2 was great, apart from mushy stuff as some people have commented! :o

Read a post above saying they hoped Jango Fett was going to kill sum Jedi - well he's got about 10,000 almost identical clones of himself running around that i assume are part of Sidious's takeover plan, so i think this might be a possibility! I think episode 3 will be the best film of the lot, as will finally/hopefully tie the 2 trilogies together as 1 big film - cant wait to see anakin turn into Darth Vader, but not looking foward to the jedi getting slayed - that will not be cool at all....

I'd much rather Jar Jar lived with the knowledge that he started a war that would claim the lives of countless billions, destroy entire worlds and end a republic that endured in one way or another for 25000 years. But that's just me :D

As a stand alone film, I thought it was much better than TPM (better and more involving characterisation, better light sabre use (which I didn't think was possible!) more impressive big battle scenes) and there was a sense of tension and anticipation in AOTC that TPM lacked. Oh, and no commentary on AOTC would be complete with saying YODA ROCKS!

Still not sure wether I prefer ESB as a linking movie though, I'll have to see them one after the other...

There's a rumor going around that Padme will actually not die in Ep. III, instead she will become Mon Monthma (exuse my spelling).

It's said that Palpatine tricks Anakin into thinking she actually died and he turns to the darkside because of it....

that's the rumor...

That's a really bad rumor....simply because that makes Leia a liar in ep 6......Luke "Do you remember your mother?"

Leia "A little, she died when i was very young"

I'm not sure if that's exact......but pretty close...Amidala will die, if not during ep 3, shortly after it....she's not alive during the OT

And i truly, deeply, HATE Jar Jar Binks....he's just......HORRIBLE....and now it's all his fault that Palpatine was able to create his army and overthrow the republic.....what is there not to hate about him?

this movie was my favorite just like many of you think the same way, but i agree with a previous post that episode III will be depressing because after seeing TPM and AOTC i just kinda attached myself to Obi-Wan, Padme, Mace, Anakin (ep2), and some others. after i see these two movies and just absolutely love the characters i remember the old trilogy and know where the story's going and it's gonna suck when i see anakin (who proved himself worthy to be responsible for the extinction of the jedi after his performance in ep2) turn into vader, all my favortite jedi go away: Mace, Plo Koon (looks like predator kinda and is a bad@$$) Kit Fisto, etc. i never really cared about yoda's death years ago but after seeing these he has become a loveable character, i don't know what happens to padme but i don't think she'll live through ep3 (i personally think anakin kills her out of rage because she hid their children for fear of their lives) and one more thing, i liked boba fett, i thought the kid who played him did an EXCELLENT job and to me the two actors looked quite a bit alike. i also thought the love story part of ep2 was great and the story needed it, in fact, i think it's the only love story part of a movie that i've liked, i loved every part of that movie beginning to end, EVERY PART

Well, i wouldn't say that the Boba fett kid was a great actor....i mean....."Get him dad! FIYAAR!" THat was pretty bad. And the Yoda fight was really really cool....why you ask? because it was YODA!!! He's the man, as cool as Plo Koon.....who needs a lot more time onscreen in ep 3! But the fight was really neat, because we get to see exactly why he is the leading member of the Jedi council! My favorite scene in this movie probably would have been the following one, had it not been cut!

Filmed but not used, Ki-Adi and Plo Koon mission to blow up the Trade Federation Control Core. Thanks to Thodge for this one, and you'll remember call sheets detailing the attack and this is why when the battle ends they are to be escorted in. It is a shame, I wanted to so Plo rock the rock! The first and major scene happens during the arena battle. When Kenobi and Windu are fighting back to back Obi wan says "We need to shut down these droid's" to which Mace replies "already taken care of". The apparently you see a group of jedi, led by Plo Kloon, fight there way into a parked battle ship and shut down the droids. The droids shut down and the jedi cheer, but then the droids power up again

That was off of theforce.net.........OH how i would love to see plo koon in action!
