Link Antilles Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 I sure don't know.
Guest LiveWire1138 Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 No one outside LucasFilms does. Perhapes it will be something reveled in the next 2 episodes.
Link Antilles Posted September 3, 2001 Author Posted September 3, 2001 So the the species will remain UNKNOWN........for now!!!! What did you think he is? (Just for fun, people!) :p
Guest Kvan Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 His species is ****** Really though, I hope they never tell us. It'll preserve some of the mystique about Yoda
Paragon_Leon Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 Yoda and Yaddle (also on the Jedi council) probably will never be mentioned by their species name. After all, you didn't hear someone in the movies describe Maul as a Zabrak, did you ? Unless someone decides to name Yoda in a species guide, it remains unknown.
Guest Tie Guy Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 Yeah, not everything is mentioned somewhere. A lot of it is simply made up for the sake of the books and fans. Some of it isn't really mentioned even in the books. So, someone will probably make up something in the future, whether it is in the movie or not. Oh well, i don't think it will take to much of the mystery out of yoda, everything has an explantion. I just hope that we never know where he came from and how he got so strong in the force and all, that is much more mysterious to me.

But having an explanation about everything in SW takes something away from it:( You'll know what I mean when you know everything about SW like I do
Darth_Rommel Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 Good question... i have no idea what the answer is
TheJackal_jk2 Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 What? You guys dont know! I have friend who is a friend of a friend that works for LucasFilms. Yoda is known as a.... *guys in suits brake in Jackal's house and beat him. He is taken away and thrown in the river near by*
darthfergie Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 The Species guide doesn't show it and niether does theforce.net encclopidea. WOW IT IS ONE OF THE MYSTERYS OF THE SW UNIVERSE!!!!
Lord JayVizIon Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 that's a heck of a question. if i had to guess.....

darthfergie Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 I don't think so or theforce.net would have stumbled over it...they have the biggest SW fans over there soo...
Compa_Mighty Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 Hey good question... I was wondering that myself in the morning... Kvan has a point, revealing Yoda's species would lessen him importance
JEDI_MASTA Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 yeah i think not knowing what spiecies yoda is makes him even cooler:cool:
Captain Fett Posted September 4, 2001 Posted September 4, 2001 I agree with a previous poster: Yoda is a Muppet. This is an awesome thread Link. Funny too.
Link Antilles Posted September 4, 2001 Author Posted September 4, 2001 A muppet he is, yessss! ( a powerful muppet he is!)
Guest Thrawn Posted September 4, 2001 Posted September 4, 2001 I can't belive you guys didn't know what species Yoda was! He's a Lyrelani. Obviously you haven't seen the interview with George Lucas. You can see the video here: http://www.viewaskew.com/newboard/messages257/723.html BTW If you went there you are what the bold top line says.

Anyways, it will probbly never be known, probably coz no one ever needs to know. We never would have known that lukes mom was a fallanasi if it wasn't important to the story. And they will probably never be a story where yodas race is important, so it will probably never be known. I don't think it is because they want mystery, i just think that it is because its not important.
Guest Kvan Posted September 4, 2001 Posted September 4, 2001 I'm sure after the prequels are all done some comic or book will come along and say what Yoda's species is.

Booya2020 Posted September 4, 2001 Posted September 4, 2001 Or "thing" or "yoda thing" or "It yoda thing" or "yoda thing it" or "yoda". Mybe someone should make a poll
