AgentSmith
Wel all have a life, these forums and the discussions on it just happen to be a part of it at this time. You're not a loser ET Warrior, we're all beings with good elements and flaws, that's what makes us human. (Oh, and good luck. ) Thanks Norrin Radd. We do our best here us Agents. Damn straight Redwing! My impressionable Star Wars fan mindset was forever corrupted by the purity and awesomeness of the digital projection! Endless sharpness and pixel quality! *drool*Picture perfect sharp background enabling ultimate detailing of Aayla and massive drooling! Mhh .. sorry got carried away. DVD! DVD! I want the DVD! Sgt.BF
Wo, you guys get very defensive about the 'no life' accusation, guess someone hit a nerve ;' > And 480posts in one month just means you talk too much ;' > (aww... you know I love you all really) I too have a shoddy bootlegged version of ep2. And I kinda prefer it to seeing it in the cinema (which I did only once, though it was the first time). I takes away some of that super shiny super new feel which has been plagueing (sp?) the NT imho. I hate all the 'did you see that tiny alien in the background with the...' These things are distractions that take away from any movie. However, I can get rid of a whole load of these by watching it on a nice, low resolution bootleg. I'm also thinking of editing it slightly to take out/shorten some of those unnescessary scenes and make it a half decent film... Alternatively I might just delete it, cos everytime I watch it (usually cos someone else wants too...), I get really pissed off at how bad it is and feel the need to voice my opinions just to see if anyone else is a brutally dissapointed as I am with the new star wars. obi
I would like to take the time to restate what I said earlier. When I said "earned" I really meant I "Bought" the movie. Of course in November, I am still going to buy the DVD, and I am even going to the theater again at least 2 more times to see it before it leaves the theaters. So what if I have a copy on my computer? When it is all said and done, I will have paid over $80 total for this movie anyways.
Darth Vader 421
Why bother with the horrible, grainy copies of films where people have obviously taken video camera's into the cinema and filmed the big screen. I made the mistake of getting "The Phantom Menace" on pirate, and it was rubbish! You could hear people eating popcorn, cheering at certain points and even see someone get up and walk across the bottom of the screen halfway through! Just wait until November, people, then get the DVD with the deleted scenes, like Dooku using two lightsabers against Yoda, Anakin's meditation scene and the Confederacy Meeting. Buying a pirate of "Attack of the Clones" is like being on the Death Star when it ! Not pretty!
ET Warrior
MAN i want to see Ep2 in a digital theater.......our theater is okay, not digital, and the film had flaws in it. During the geonosis scene, sometimes the sound would cut from stereo to mono...then when the dropships were coming in to save the Jedi there was a part where the sound died and the film went almost all white.......it was very saddening......but i still loved it! I wasn't about to pay for it. That would be giving the guy money and he would be making profit off of it wihtout the permission of George Lucas. Darth Vader 421
How could Qui-Gon Jinn have ordered the Clone Army? 1: Jango Fett was "hired by a man named Tyranus on one of the moons of Bogden." Everyone knows that Darth Tyranus is Count Dooku. 2: It was Darth Sidious' and Count Dooku's intention to start the Clone War. This means that Qui-Gon would have had to be in league with the Sith Lords, yet he still duels with one on Naboo. 3: Quoting from "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones Visual Dictionary": "Jango Fett knows that the man named Tyranus is really Count Dooku, who ordered the Clone Army." I think this leaves your theory of Qui-Gon Jinn ordering the clones in tatters. It would be nice to see some corruption inside the Jedi Order, but I don't think it will ever happen (until Anakin goes crazy and tries to kill Obi-Wan Kenobi.). HellFyre69
wasnt sifo dias who ordered the clone army? the dudes from kamino said it was sifo dias...
AgentSmith
If Obi-Wan would have told the Kaminoans that he was Anakin Skywalker, do you think they'd ever have know? It is said clearly the Kaminoans are not in the Republic and keep to themselves, are isolated. Someone impersonating Sifo-Dyas could have ordered the clone army and just given them a false name or a recently deceased -or more gruesome to be deceased- Jedi Master. It always is possible though unlikely that Sifo-Dyas did himself order the clone amry under the fals pretexts or instructions of Chancellor Palpatine and that Sifo-Dyas never was able to inform the Jedi Council after he ordered the Clone Army. To quote a Jedi Master : 'Dangerous and disturbing this puzzle is.' I think we'll have many more plot surprises and conspiracies coming from Palpatine/Sidious in Ep III. ET Warrior
mmmmmmm.....quite off topic this conversation is..........i'm pretty sure we've been through this before.....twas Dooku or Sideous that ordered the army....my bet is on Dooku.
MotionMan
It was Dooku by orders from Sidious.
Nebelwerfer_
It was dooku who ordered the clones, because Jango told Obi wan he worked for a man called tyranus, who we now know is dooku.
Kryllith
Actually it doesn't HAVE to be Dooku, though he's the primary suspect seeing as he recruited Jango. It's rather possible that Palpatine put the order in while he had Dooku search for a likely subject... Kryllith
MotionMan
It was Dooku or Palpatine, unless Lucas pulls some thing crazy. Which I doubt he will.
Surfnshannon
i think its just one of those mysterious things that will be explained in 3 whole years - as far as the quality of the cdrs - I saw the movie first regular screen and it was kinda fuzzy at times - especially during the first scene with Anakin and Padme when she is packing. Then I saw it on Digital!! HELL YA! Tight! Then I saw it on cdr...you truly can really only watch that just to listen to the dialog and the story line again. But it doesn't truly give off the "essence" of how the movie is supposed to be. The sound is crap and you can barely make out some cool scenes. Can't wait for the DVD!!
