TheJackal
This is supposed to be THE best multiplayer game there is. Made by the Army, designed by the Army, distributed by the Army, etc. This game is just odd. I finished the training, move on to the infantry mission right after (which clearly says 'available' and NOT 'not available') However is just takes me back to the main menu. So then I go to GameSpy Arcade and find a server... same thing. Main menu. Before you ask, yes I did register a user name (update my profile after every training and etc) But now what? Anybody else played the game? http://americasarmy.com/ Just to be honest, I dont care if it doesn't work at all. My tax money didn't pay for that
obi
I've never tried it, but if it is anything like the Medal of Honor series, you can bet your administrating arse I will try it out!
Lime-Light
Uh....it has nothing to do with Medal Of Honor (by 2015, not the US army). Its being used as a recruitment tool for 18-21 year olds, and a CS ripoff is apperently the best way to do it. You play as an actually military recruit, and go on real-world missions online. Costed something like 4 million.
Woad
Well I'm downloading it right now. It's certainly been hyped all to hell (coverage on CNN, several major newspapers) and it was very highly reviewed at E3. And the best part is, there is nothing better than a game that doesn't cost anything

Woad
From the hands on that a fair amount of people have had as well as alot of the coverage of the game it sounds like it will be far more realistic that Medal of Honour. Don't get me wrong, I loved that game, I still play it every few days! It was just far more focused on action than on simulation. My favorite shooter would have to be Rainbow 6, and from what I have read America's Army looks to be a combination of the action of MOH and the simulation in R6
matt--
The game is amazing IMHO. Anybody beat a 37 on the first basic training mission?

There are two advantages: first it's a useful recruitment tool, and second it's a useful training tool--your recruits come in with a better working knowledge of the military, presumably.
