qibbish Posted July 19, 2002 Posted July 19, 2002 Call me a noobie if you will, but what will other players see if I'm using a model they don't have installed on their system? A skin would simply default to the original for the model, but a model would not have any default mode of representation, right? The paradox seems to be that before an item can be used it has to be favored by the majority of the playerbase, no?
Sith Maximus Posted July 20, 2002 Posted July 20, 2002 Yes you are correct. The mod/skin must be on the server you are onin order for you to use it. My suggestion is that if an e-mail address for the server has been provided send them a link for the skin you want them to install. I think that if they are already using some custom skins then they would not mind adding in another one. I am not currently running a server for JK2 but that is what I would like to see those types of suggestions from my players.

The problem i think isnt your default skin but their default skin. other people see you as kyle because their default skin is kyle.
