Treacherous Mercenary Posted July 24, 2002 Posted July 24, 2002 Just thought it might be useful to add facts and such to avoid the questions from being asked over and over again, so add any important facts you feel is important here such as info for the game, etc.... Q: What is this game about and where can I get info? A: Long before the Galactic Civil War, an epic drama begins. Engage in this saga set in the Golden Age of the Republic - over 4,000 years before the first Star Wars film, when both Jedi and Sith number in the thousands. With the Galaxy reeling from a recent conflict with the Dark Lords, the ongoing battle between the Jedi and the Sith rages on. Your actions determine the outcome of this colossal galactic war - and your destiny as a Jedi. Immersive, action-packed Star Wars role playing experience with customizable and evolving playable characters. Your group, comprised of up to 3 characters, can include humans, droids, Twi'leks, Wookiees and more. Fast paced mini-games -- such as racing swoop bikes, or manning turret guns. Journey spans ten different worlds ranging from the familiar to the new. Locations include Tatooine, Sith world of Korriban, Jedi Academy on Dantooine and Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk. D@rth M@ul Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 I said that because I just saw a timeline for Darkhorse comics and novels that started at KOTOR, wow, it goes further. The timeline of star wars on that webpage is massive
D@rth M@ul Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 Is it true that this is the beggining of the star wars saga? Or this is where the books and comics and such start the tale.
Old_Ben Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 I think there have been books and comics and things that go back farther than KOTOR. Like the beginings of the sith. I guess they chose this time because there wasn't alot about it and they could make the story unique.
Com Raven Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 yeah, that was the intention... if you come up with something that you think should be added to the FAQ, tell me...
Ewok Hunter Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 yeah you see what a mess DF made with the DS plans, they needed to come up with the rational that the alliance was somehow able to steal multiple plans of the:deathstar: , they couldn't possibly be that good.
Norin Radd Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 I have several different dates. 1. September 2. November 3. Now I'm hearing January/February 2003 for the XBOX version. Any ideas?

Ewok Hunter Posted August 4, 2002 Posted August 4, 2002 good for ancient history but doen't have any NJO stuff
Ewok Hunter Posted August 4, 2002 Posted August 4, 2002 I don't remebmer everything I read. sometimes a sentence is enough to remind in what order the things happened
Com Raven Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 hmm, most likely you then also don't remember how you promised to give me al your money, yet it's true
Ewok Hunter Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 ^don't you know my vast fortunes of NR creds are worthless where your going
Exar Kun II Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 (SIGH) Well, I just called a friend of mine in New York City, who operates several independent video game retail shops, and has been reliable about all of his dates. He told me that his distributor informed him that KOTOR has been pushed back to February 2003. I hope he is wrong. Amazon.com has also changed their date. It was November a few days ago, now it's February as well. Oh well. . . Steel thyself against unrelenting sadness, my heart. -Exar Kun II
Com Raven Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 amazon, I don't give a ****.... but if your friend is reliable ):
Com Raven Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 german mag gamestar lists it as Q3 2003, but who knows...
Norin Radd Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 Originally posted by ewok hunter hm.. will this affect the PC release at all? Well, since they didn't want a conflict, perhaps this will delay the PC release.
Norin Radd Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 It's kind of frustrating to not really know what is happening regarding this game's development. Bioware needs to make some kind of an official announcement to clarify this issue. Since the dates of release have changed, they have been very quiet, and that only adds to the rumors. If the release has been pushed back, just tell us.
Ewok Hunter Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 It's not like it's going to be Dikatana(SP?) or anything, they probably could ship it on time but they want to make it memorable... or something
Norin Radd Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 Daikatana, what a travesty. Without a doubt, one of the greatest frauds to ever be put upon the gaming culture. The patheticism of the entire scenario was that it took Jon Romero 3 years to design a game that is considered one of the worst ever created. It is almost inconceivable that the same company that created Daikatana also published such a classic as Deus Ex.
