Adronikus
how could you POSSIBLY not include Quantum Leap? by far the best sci-fi, ever.
obi
Yea, Quantum Leap as the best. But out of the list, Star Trek: TNG owns. "I AM NOT A MERRY MAN!" - Worf
Absurd
Twilight Zone has the best stories in any sci-fi series ever. It goes far beyond most sci-fi to create themes that others can only scratch the surface, if even that. You people need to watch some classics. Story is much more important than special effects and pointless soap-opera drama. The Twilight Zone focused on the very nature of what sci-fi is all about - the writer creating a story that your mind can understand and think about; even after reading/watching it; it truly reaches into your imagination and causes you to 'think'. You will learn something about human nature watching the Twilight Zone - there is a huge amount of philosophy, psychology, history, and other subjects covered. Heck, I could probably take a person who never participated in society, teach him English, and have him watch every episode of the Twilight Zone and he would have a better allegorical understanding of the complexity, struggle, terror, hope, and wonder of human nature than the average to above average person. Not picking the Twilight Zone is a slap in the face of some of the greatest science fiction (and beyond) writing of all time. Shameful. The next time the Sci-Fi Channel has a Twilight Zone Marathon, or when you see it on a regular basis, I suggest watching a few of them - around the fifth one and you'll start getting the idea, feel, and abstraction of it all. Darth Groovy
This poll obviously warrants a sequal of sorts. Yes I forgot Farscape, but that was unintentional. I was going to put that one up there but forgot the name of it, so I put Alien Nation on there instead. I don't know about Quantum Leap though? Dr. Who used to make me fall asleep, must have been those robotic trash cans.
