Thinking on EpIII and the Title...

Many people say Episode III will be called "Revenge of the Sith". I don't think so. It sounds not like Star Wars.

I think "The Fall of the Republic" or "The Rise of the Empire" or something like that will be the title.

And what will acually happen?

My thoughts where that Anakin kills the most of the Jedi in the Council, or the Council gets destroyed by an Imperial attack or stuff like that.

Nah! You couldn't be more wrong! :p

It will be titled Episode III: Return of the Blue Angel and will feature the epic tales of Aayla Secura, the strongest and most beautiful Jedi Master ever. :D

j/k folks :p

I don't think Anakin will kill the Council by himself or that the Empire will already exist, I think it will be born in Episode III.

Hence 'Birth of the Empire' as a possible title? Or 'Return of the Sith' ... but they already have returned so that's not really good.

There are lots of possible choices. GL must find a good one.

These ones are a bit to boring...

Fall of the Republic.

Destruction of the Jedi.

Rise of the Empire.

I think Return of the Blue Angel is a little less plausible...

Lucas doesnt give his eps documantary like titles. People said ep2 would be called The Clone Wars, a very generic documentary title. Lucas likes mystic story like titles as we all know. In which case Revenge of the Sith sounds like the best one for ep3. Ep6 was the last ep in the original trilogy "Return" of the "Jedi". So the last ep in the prequel trilogy would be "Revenge" of the "Sith". See where I'm going with this? When Lucas was titling ep6 he first called it Revenge of the Jedi but changed it cause revenge is not the Jedi way. Its the Sith way. Hmm. This is just my speculation of course but it gets you thinking.;)

Nooo!!!

It cannot be otherwise! It will be an entire 4 hour epic movie about Aayla Secura.

The 5 minute epilogue will just say that the Clone Wars are over, Jedi got killed, Padme gave birth to twins who are hidden, Anakin becomes Vader, Obi-Wan and Yoda survive and Palpatine becomes Emperor. :p

I just be playing folks, j/k. ;)

Actually, I heard somewhere that Lucas is going to try and call it

Star Wars Episode III: The Dark Redemption.

It seems kinda corny, reminds of The Shawshank Redemption.

Attack of the Clones was a corny title too, i think Lucas is running out of ideas.

The Phantom Menace was a good title.

This is another strange parallel between trilogies. Look at the words in the titles.

A New Hope = 3

The Empire Strikes Back = 4

Return of the Jedi = 4

The Phantom Menace = 3

Attack of the Clones = 4

? = 4?

Granted, this could just be a coincidence, but who knows?

A New Hope = 3

The Empire Strikes Back = 4

Return of the Jedi = 4

The Phantom Menace = 3

Attack of the Clones = 4

? = 4?

when i read this, i thought:

A New hope - The Phantom Menace

There was hope - There was a Menace

The Empire Strikes Back - Attack of the Clones

If someone strikes back it's an attack too

and

Return of the Jedi - Maybe it has something to do with Sith in the title but i'm not sure.

I don't think Sith will be in the title, There are no more Sith. Sidious and vader are not Sith, the Sith is a race that could all use the Force, read about them at starwars.com, what they are called is Dark Jedi, the only reason people think Sith are evil is cause a Dark Jedi turn most of them to the dark side of the force, so everyone think that a jedi of Dark side of the force is a Sith but that is wrong, it is called a Dark jedi. So I don't think it will have anything with Sith in the title. I think it will be Fall of the Jedi though.

Here, read these quotes from starwars.com, they are the bios of Darth Vader, Darth Sideous, Dooku, and Darth Maul, all in that order.

Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith, was the scourge of the Jedi, a master of the dark side of the Force, and one of the Emperor's most trusted servants. He wasn't always a fearsome enforcer, however.

Behind a curtain of secrecy lurked Darth Sidious, a mysterious Sith Lord and puppet-master of the tumultuous events that brought an end to the Republic

After his departure from the Jedi order, Dooku was seduced to the dark side by Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith. By Sith tradition, Dooku adopted the name Darth Tyranus and added deceit and treachery to his already formidable array of weapons.

Darth Maul was a weapon forged by the hateful energies of the dark side to ensure the victory of the Sith over the Jedi order.

Just so you know that there are Sith.

oh, and i'm not sure why starwars.com confused you to that, this is the Sith article.

An ancient order of Force-practitioners devoted to the dark side and determined to destroy the Jedi, the Sith were a menace long thought extinct. The current incarnation of the Sith is the result of a rogue Jedi dissident from the order. Two thousand years ago, this Jedi had come to the understanding that the true power of the Force lay not through contemplation and passivity. Only by tapping its dark side could its true potential be gained. The Jedi Council at the time balked at this new direction. The Dark Jedi was outcast, but he eventually gained followers to his new order. Awakening beliefs from the dark past, the new Sith cult continued to grow. With the promise of new powers attainable by tapping into the hateful energies of the dark side, it was only a matter of time before the order self-destructed. Internecine struggle by power-hungry Sith practioners dwindled their numbers.

One Sith had the cunning to survive. Darth Bane restructured the cult, so that there could only be two -- no more, no less -- a master, and an apprentice. Bane adopted cunning, subterfuge, and stealth as the fundamental tenets of the Sith order. Bane took an apprentice. When that apprentice succeeded him, that new Sith Lord would take an apprentice.

Thus, the Sith quietly continued for centuries, until the time of Darth Sidious and his apprentice, Darth Maul. By that time, the galaxy at large had believed the Sith to be extinct, a fabled threat from the past. Qui-Gon Jinn's report of a Sith attack on Tatooine was met by the Jedi Council with hesitation and skepticism. Surely if the Sith had returned, the Jedi would have detected it, they reasoned.
