12thMonkey
This is looking great at the moment and the tenticles look great. My only concern is the skinnyness of the legs thay need to be wider. Seeing as this is Kit Fisto i thought this was appropriateclickie
t3rr0r
why did you post the same thing 3 times... ?
Vaderbug71
I am increadibly impressed. You have uncanny skills. I love this model, and I know how hard modeling is. Well you seem to be one of the best. And I know this is not a modeling forum, But I beleive that you should be the one to do the DarkTrooper phase 3 model. If you are interested please contact me or check the modeling forum for the rest of us. I know we are all impressed with your work.
Dragonlancer
*********IMPORTANT************(well somewhat ) ok, your model ROCKS!!!! but one thing. I think its important that you make him a little more.......not fat. lol. he needs to be quite a bit thinner around the hips and maybe the shoulders are a bit to far apart. Sorry to be so nitpicky lol. I personally think the hands look fine. Very nice to see someone working on one of my top 3 favorite jedi from the arena. the other two being luminera unduli and aayla secura.
Mix_Master2k
just out of curiosity, what is the max poly limit for a character model? same as saber?
inbredyokel
I'm not positive, but I think its good to shoot for about 3000 polys on a character model and about 700 on a saber hilt. It's not that those are the "limits," is just that slower-mid range machines would have trouble processing lots of high poly models.
Darth Stryke
Great model, and to let everyone know, I am modeling his saber, (check my WIP thread) and as soon as I find a host for the pics ill post some shots of it.
Toonces
Cut about 1200 polys off him this morning, optimized the head alot. He sits at just about 3350. I'm gonna try to go a little lower. If I cant get under 3000 I'll be sure to make a couple LOD's http://drivingcatstudios.com/fistotweak1.jpg http://drivingcatstudios.com/fistotweak2.jpg http://drivingcatstudios.com/fistotweak3.jpg I'm still not satisfied with the head, something just doesnt look right. I have to adjust his body a little too Toonces http://www.drivingcatstudios.com Powered by Sith
SpYzEr
That looks AMAZING man.. I myself dont see anything wrong with the head. But hey do what u want u can only make it better
inbredyokel
I think his head looks off because the tentacles coming out of the sides are a bit out of place. As seen here http://www.istnet.net.au/~chefgreg/starwars/images/kitfisto.jpg one should be located a little above eye level and another at the corner of the jaw. They're also more rigid so they go straight back for a while before drooping down, where yours just drop right away. This seems to make them more visible, and that's probably why it looks different on your model. Otherwise, I still think the waist is too thick. If you'd make it just a little smaller and puff out the clothes around it, it would look just right. If I remember correctly, on an average person the hips are supposed to be the widest part below the ribcage, but here it looks more like the midriff is the widest part. All things considered though(like how quickly you made this), it's coming along extremely well.
Toonces
Inbred, as always your feedback is dead on and very much apprishated I rotated the tenticles up and out a little bit just to straighten them out. They still arnt quite where they should be, but I beleive for the most part I have them connected to the right place now. I have to rotate them up and out a few more degrees and I think they'll be in the correct position. I am going to try and model the suttle lines that go from the jaw to the tenticle. It shouldnt be too difficult. This pic is large, just in case your using dialup http://www.drivingcatstudios.com/fistoframe.jpg I think thoes shoulder things (I forget their name) is out a little too far and that's why his waist looks skewed, it's the right size, it just looks odd in my pics. I'll fix them and pull in the belt and post another pic Toonces http://www.drivingcatstudios.com Powered by Sith

12thMonkey
The tenticles or lekku if you can call them that that run down the front of his shoulders, need to be closer together cos kit fistos are strapped together.

blackfire
First I just want say he's looking great, especially in this short period of time. I just have one comment about the tentacles on his head. After really looking closely at the pictures, It looks like he has between eight and ten, no more and no less. I really think it's 10. It appears that he has 6 on top going down his back all bound with the straps in groups of 2. the other 4 appear to be underneath the first 6 and are the ones that come over his shoulders onto his chest also bound in the same fashion. This is just my observations on it after studying them hard with the multiple pics you guys posted. I could be wrong, but I really believe this is accurate. Other than that I can't wait to use him. Thanks for taking up this difficult project.

Toonces
A little update guys. I havent worked on him much this weekend, but I did make some proportional tweaks here and there. Let me know what you guys think. http://drivingcatstudios.com/fistoli1.jpg http://drivingcatstudios.com/fistoli2.jpg I put in a few omni lights, to check out shadows and stuff Something about the head still really bugs me. I wish I had more polys to work with Toonces http://www.drivingcatstudios.com Powered by Sith

Elessar-Eärfalas
its comin along real nice! i think i kno wut the problem with the head is, after lookin at a couple ref pics, i see that the forehead isnt rounded enough on ur model, the head is so good cept for that, the heads to flat right now. once u bring it out more and make the head a lil bigger on top, it'll look just like kit. keep up the great work, thx for the constant updates!
