There is one script that makes it so it used to attack button 100 times in 10 sec. now same may say so what, the so what is if someone gets into a saber lock they use this script once they win the lock. THis I say is cheating. I think that binding the DFA and other moves isn't cheating. Some say this makes it unfair. Well anyone who is better that someone else is UNFAIR AND LIFE ISN'T FAIR ANYWAYS!!!!!!!!!!! And if you guys are skilled you can beat some script. And the last kind is the menu script like one I use for the emotes on JediMod. This only takes up 3 keys on my keyboard, one to go to the next cmd, one to go to the prev cmd, and one to use the emote. And please don't flame others. I'm 15, but my ability to play the piano allows me to use moves at lighning speed. I do agree that useing scripts weakens your abilitys, but I don't call it cheating. Using a script to f.ex change the colour of your lightsaber or custom taunts is not cheating. It does not give you an unfair advantage. This is so obvious, that I have a really hard time understanding how someone just doesn't "get it". Using scripts makes executing moves easier, yes? No need to wait, crouch, attack & push forward. Simply press your Lunge-key once! Yay! The fact that a skilled player can beat a poor player who uses scripts is beside the point. The point is that the other has an unfair advantage. If there's two equally skilled players, the one using scripts will have the edge, cause he WON'T MAKE MISTAKES. The medium finisher will always succeed, trying to lunge won't end up in rolling etc.etc.etc. The fact that some scripts suck or may otherwise not be full-proof is as well beside the point. Saying scripting isn't cheating cause "you can beat scripters" or "the move is easy to pull off anyways" is retarded. But as I said, using scripts isn't automatically cheating. Nosun Posted August 8, 2002 Share Posted August 8, 2002 It depends on the script(i neve rused scripts in jk2), for example,i've been looking for a script that lets u go forward and backwards in the linghtsaber stance when chosing it, sinc ei don't use weapons i would put the mouse scrool up for next stance and mouse scrool down for the previous, instead of clicking 2 times on the midle button to change to the oposite stance. Btw i never found this script, if it exists plz tell me the url, also i need a script to make it easyer for me to make demos, a script that binded keys to zoom more or less to adjust the angle to the player stuff like that, there was one in q3.Of course i would use it just to make demos, anyway there's no point of using it for anything else. And yes its an unfair advantage, but it's just a small advantage and i think in next patches raven should put a binding for nextstance and previousstance. I'm totally against aim trianer scripts and combo scripts. To finish i would like u to plz post some urls to where i can find scripts for jk2. But to use them to do plain "system" commands like changing your name, model, saber colr then it is not. Those types of scripts do not involve others so its not a cheat. What the heck do I care if you bind a key to rotate through a half dozen skins and saber colors or to take a screenshot. It makes no difference to me or the game. Saying that all scripts are cheats and all scripters are cheaters is just too black and white for me. I run a server and its takes me too much time to make basic changes like models and forecpoers. I have a server to admin and I want to concentrate on that. So if the push of a single key allows me to perform a non opponent based command I am going to go it. It gives me more time to watch over others. Try to not be too closed minded for all scripts. Now you may flame me if you want but rest assured I don't give a crap. No wonder that how many times i smash the attack button, my saber goes down like its got a 1000 pound weight on it. Now that is a cheat, and a incredibly lame one. Wow i can hold down a button to instanly win saber lock, iam special. THe only thing i can think of to rid this of my playing experience is to buy a server, and ban anyone who uses scripts to get a unfaire adavantage. Yet the problem is, that all the clan people would be banned lol On a side note, its funny to watch 2 scripters duke it out on saber lock. Btw about the spelling, if ur talkin about durst , i know how to spell it i wrote durst just to make it rime, it would sound the same way but writen it wouldnt so i changed a letter.
