Guy: He needs medical attention. I know of a good facility in this system. *points it out on a holomap* I'll transmit the coordinates to your friends, and they can follow us. *Guy looks into what appears to be a targeting computer and points to a light on the control panel* Look here.

*The light flashes, and Irvine slumps over, unconscious*

Sorry, but I've got to use warp space...faster, and I can't have you asking questions...

*Guy transmits the coordinates to Raschel and Syrnl's respective ships, then his ship flashes away*

((OOS: Admiral, that takes care of your time skip))

Syrnl: Navigation, plot a course to follow them. Maximum speed!

*The Pheonix jumps to hyperspace, leaving the wreckaged Reavers burning behind*

------------------------

*Lokpihet stands before the Imperial council*

Lokpihet: Memebers, we have two grave new threats:

The first is a man calling himself "Syrnl" and his ship. It is armed with a new kind of weapon, classified Omega.

The second relates directly to the bleeding Insignia behind me..(gestures at Imperial Cogwheel). A man named Orthos seems to have telekenetic powers. Both need to be disposed of.

((Thank you Redwing. I was getting a tad bored here))

*Gulltop drops out of hyperspace in a system that seems empty. On the other side of the galaxy a decoy also drops out emmiting the same subspace signature as Gulltop. *

Heimdall: We've finally arrived. Gulltop bring us in.

Gulltop: Yes sir.

*Gulltop quickly enters the shields of Midgard, revealing the cloaked planet. Flying low over the ground, for a few minutes until an enterance to an underground hanger became visible. Entering the hanger Gulltop settles gently to the ground and lowers the boarding ramp.*

Heimdall: Misea, I'll allow you to keep your lightsaber, but you must have control.

*The group leaves Gulltop. and is escorted by a group of Beserks to council chambers.*

((OOS: Admiral how do Berserks look?

Scar, Orthos is not a Jedi, nor does the Council have outside knowledge of his new powers.))

*Guy sits in his fighter, doing the same thing he'd been doing for the past six hours; monitoring scanners to find Heimdall's ship*

My fighter's faster in warp than those bulky freighters the other Shadows are using...I should get there first.

I'd *better* get there first.

*Guy adjusts the scanners again*

Has to be in hyperspace still...unless they've created a cloak even better than the one on record.

*The scanner suddenly beeps off with results*

Aha! Found the subspace signature...twice? Weird.

*Guy moves to another scanner*

One's got to be a decoy. Wow. Clever. These guys figure stuff out *fast*.

Okay. Neither of them are in any listed systems....or any systems at all, actually.

The first one's near a star...but no planets...at least, none listed.

Very close to a star, actually...close enough for a habitable planet? Perhaps they can cloak a planet?

Only one way to check, and that's to go there...

*Guy gets out of his fighter and goes to find Orthos, Irvine and Raschel in the med center, just missing the scanners alerting him to the arrival of Syrnl's ship in the system*

----------

*Misae follows the group, subdued. Marin and Aidan stare around at their surroundings. Aidan carries their pack*

I never mentioned any name in my last post, so the Council does not know of or whom orthos is. other then what Lokpihet had said. Besides I believe I already gave out enough clues about Ravan being able to use the for, but just to say in oss he's not all that powerful, but enough to put up a fight. how ever he doesn't use them in negitive purposes. ^.^

Irvine looking at the approching Guy: "Darn it, I hate these after effects of stunning. Hey We mgiht as well introduce our selfs to each other sence we have gotten this far." *Quickly notices, but of course not at first.* "Raschel!? How'd you get here?"

((I see I made a slight misunderstanding. Beserks are soldiers as such look like any other Aesir. As it stands, the Aesirian military is made up of the regular army/navy, Beserks, Einherjar and Valkyries. The Beserks are elite soldiers. The Einherjar are the elite of the elite (however the Einherjar no longer exist). The Valkyries, they have multiple roles (intelligence ect.) and only women make up their ranks. Hope that clears things up))

*Entering the Council chambers, the group stands behind a desk and four chairs, one sepcially made to accomdate a gargolye. Across the room Vidar, and Tyr sit, along with Idun. Beserks stand at the doors*

Vidar: Welcome home Heimdall. Welcome Misea, Marin and Aidan to our home. Please sit down. There are important things we must tell you.

*The group sits down*

Vidar: However before we do, I need to see the key that the children are carring. Misea I know this may be hard for you, but I trust you will listen to all we have to say.

Heimdall to Marin and Aidan: This is who I told you about. Give him the key and you will recieve answers.

*Marin hesitates, then hands Vidar the key. Misae wears an emotionless mask. She hasn't said a word since they arrived*

----------

Guy: *smiles privately at Irvine's comment* He believed my story about a faulty circuit zapping him. My name is Guy...perhaps your memory was damaged?

*Guy paused and realized he wasn't even sure if Irvine had told him his name* I know I heard it in the vision...but I can't tell him that, now can I?

*quickly to Raschel* I hope that Orthos is alright?

Raschel: Ya, the doctors say Orthos should be waking up at any time now.

Guy: Good...because I need to take the three of you *motioning to Irvine as well* with me to find your friend Heimdall.

Raschel: *taken somewhat aback* Why? I mean, thanks for rescuing Orthos and all that, but why so interested in us? Orthos might know you, but I don't. I don't know anything about you, or your motives.

Guy: Have I given you any reason to distrust me?

Raschel: No...you're just...different. You want it bluntly? You're odd. Your dress is different than anything I've ever seen, and I've seen alot. Your fighter, if that's what it is, doesn't look like anything I've ever seen either. And come to think of it, how the Force did you get here so fast in that? I spent hours in hyperspace, yet you apparently got here minutes after leaving. Now I know there's something going on here you aren't telling.

Guy: *sighs*

Raschel: ...What did happen to Heimdall?

Guy: *turns away* I expect you don't care. I, however, need to leave. If you don't trust me, you can stay behind. I'm going to go ask Orthos.

*Guy heads away for Orthos' room*

Raschel: Wait! *follows*

((This is long, and I'm putting it in two seperate post. Redwing if you want your characters to talk during this be my quest, just insert it where you want. However they will be ignored so it won't affect anything))

*Vidar reads the runes on the Key and smiles, he gives the key back to Marin. Vidar talks not allowing for any intteruptions*

Vidar: All is not lost, hope remains. Allow me to explain. After the holocaust I searched in our archives for some clue as to why this happened. In desperation I asked the Norns, who only told me to seek the OneEye's missing eye. With that I examined this. *Vidar pulls out a beautiful ornate box, containing the Eye of Odin* I found a secrete compartment that contained what I sought 3 prophecies. The first one stated:

Ragnarok impure,

Gotterdammerung has occured,

Doom has come early that should not have

Aesir, now Vanir deprived of All-Father

Death of stars shall reveal

One tool that alone

Can destroy destiny or set it right

To find, seek:

It ended there, incomplete. The second is why I had Heimdall bring the children here. It read:

Two children hold the key to the Gotterdammerung Mystery

The key holder that the children hold completes the first prophecy. It now read as like this.

Ragnarok impure,

Gotterdammerung has occured,

Doom has come early that should not have

Aesir, now Vanir deprived of All-Father

Death of stars shall reveal

One tool that alone

Can destroy destiny or set it right

To find, seek:

Ten keys

Seven gates

Fire, Eye, and Ice

Wake the Wolf unlocked from its tomb

All the legions of Asgard cannot twist time, but a silver ball will.

The final prophecy that this box contained Gives instuctions and consequences.

Quest must be undertaken,

By the progeny of the dead, and their friends

If not, all will come to a terrible end.

The wolf Fenrir has been unleashed

Will complete the destruction that has begun

Twenty two years and he will be done.

What does this all mean you may be asking yourselves. It is simple as it is complex. The easy version is this. An event called Gotterdammerung occured a little over four standard days ago. An event that should not have happened. We have been given a chance to correct it. However, in twenty two years if we fail, this galaxy will be destroyed completly, by Fenrir.

Heimdall: Fenrir, has been freed?

Vidar: I'm afraid so. I'll allow Idun to explain and clear things up for our guests. After that we will answer any question you have.

((continued :) ))

Idun: Thank you, Lord Vidar. To clear up the confusion you may be having now, I will give you some history of our people. And the true reason behind the holocaust. First you need to know who we are, and second where you are. We are the Vanir, which means we are the Aesir. You are at the last stronghold of our people. At the moment the last safe planet left in the galaxy.

Now for some history. For thousands of years we have watched over and protected this galaxy. We held back a race called the Jotuns, they possess an evil greater then the most powerful Sith Lord. In fact the Jotunl had a hand in creating the Sith. When we discovered this we immediatly killed the Jotun but damage had already been done. It was luckly that we killed the Jotun when we did, for the Sith were never able to gain the power of the Jotuns.

Jotuns are giants and pure evil; they may be classified into two types, Fire and Frost. The classification is simple, it deals with their speciality in killing. Fire Jotuns incinerate their foes, while Frost Jotuns basically freeze their opponets. I'll pause a moment and show you.

*A hologram appears showing two Jotuns attacking a village. One of the Jotun holds out his hand and a ball of fire appears. He takes the ball and hurls it at a group of women and children running away. The fire envelops them and incinerates everyone of them. All the while the Jotun is laughing in delight. The other creates a ball of forst, and tosses at a group of soldier who were vailantly trying to defend the area. When that ball hit they froze, and the Jotun took sadistic pleasure in eradicating each one of them. The clip continues for a minute showing even more horrors, then it shuts off and Idun continues*

Those were two of the weaker Jotuns. They get their power from the Force, like the Jedi and Sith. However they are far more advanced. Jotuns live for destruction and death. If let loose upon the galaxy they would fulfill ever sadistic desire and destroyed the galaxy a long time ago. We stoped that and contained them to their homeworld of Utgard, and kept a constant vigile to ensure none of them escaped, Until Ragnarok. When we could not prevant it.

Now to Fenrir, which the Prophecies named. Fenrir is a creature shaped like a wolf. It is one of the greatest evils, when very young it was already powerful and evil. We bound it, and in doing so Tyr lost his hand. Fenrir was to remain that way until Ragnarok, upon which he would fight Odin and finally be killed by Vidar. However, Odin was killed. We knew it was only a matter of time before he would be able to escape and begin his reign of destruction, and we would be powerless to stop it. We recieved this yesterday.

*Another hologram appears this time Showing Fenrir, breaking the chains that bound him. 100 Einherjar rushed into the room in an attempt to stop Fenrir from breaking free. Even though they arrived before the Fenrir was completly free, THe wolf could not be stopped. Fenrir ripped apart the 100 einherjar, throwing one into the recorded showing the mutilated face of the dead warrior, and blocking the other carnage. Grissly sounds still came though. THe hologram turned off*

Fenrir has broken free, killed the last of the Einherjar and a regiment of Beserks. He is still in a weakened state and is now currently searching for his brother. With each day that passes he will grow stronger and his appitete for destrution will increase.

Finally on to the Holocaust. As I said without Odin, we are unable to stop Fenrir. When Odin was about to die we dispatched part of our fleet to try and save him. About the time of the stand off the Jotuns launched a massive offensive against our weekened forces. They were breaking free. Vidar gave the threat hoping that Odin would be released and that the fleet could return and defeat the Jotuns. This was not the case. Odin was going to die and the Jotuns were on the verge of escaping. That was when it was decided to launch the torpedoes. Perhaps doing so would save Odin, and we could still defeat the Jotuns. If that couldn't happen then we would keep as many people from suffering a horrible death as possible. For that reason, we picked the most populated, and important planets. When the Stars were destroyed the populace never new what happened. They were dead in an instant feeling no pain or fear. We left planets with little to no population, and of little importance in the hopes they would be overlooked by Fenrir. Even though we knew it would be in Vain, Fenrir would hunt them down, no matter how long it took. We also tried to destroy the Jotuns. Yet as I said Evil is not so easily destroyed. Two days ago we learned that Six Jotuns survived the holocaust, Surt the most powerful Fire Jotun leads them and they know Fenrir is free and plan on joining him and his brother.

Vidar: We now have a chance to undo all of this, but the undertaking of this will be beset by dangers all around. You have been giving a lot of information, and we are now open to any of your questions.

((I know very long but please read, many things are explained))

((Grrr this stoopid downtime! I couldn't get on all day.))

*Misae remains still, wearing her emotionless mask. Aidan stares at the screen with teeth still bared, making small gasps and eyes wide. Marin stares. Silence dominates the room as the three guests digest the enormity of what they have just been told*

----------

Guy: Orthos? Are you awake?

Vidar: If you wish we will show you to your quarters while you digest this information. Heimdall I need to speak with you.

*speaking in lowered voices so only they, Tyr and Idun could hear the converstation*

Heimdall: Yes brother?

Vidar: They don't need to know about this. Two of the Norns died yesterday, and the last is on her death bed.

Heimdall: I see the situation is dire indeed.

Tyr: Rest here, allow the others in your party to come in search, before the Norns died they said a Shadow will bring the rest.

Heimdall: Yes I met him before I came.

Vidar to the others: If you have no questions then we will get you some food and show you to your rooms.

*A shuttle lands from the Pheonix and Syrnl leaves, heading for Orthos' room. He stands, unseen behind Raschel as he awakes*

Orthos:Whoa...I keep finding out things I dream...happen...I dreampt Syrnl...

Syrnl: Son.

Orthos: Father. You've changed.

Syrnl: I have.

Irvine: "Well, the great Syrnl, your reputation proceeds you..."

*Irvine extends his hand to create a more formal greeting.*

Irvine smiling politely: "I am Irvine Cracken. Don't get my name wrong, I'm afrid I don't have as big nor the same remence as my Father nor my Grand Father once had... I'm surprised your alive, even after 80% of the habitable systems have been destroyed..."

*Aidan looks sharply at the trio. His gargoyle's ears had let him in on parts of the whispered conversation. Lucky they couldn't have had experience with gargoyles...or mutants. He didn't understand any of what he'd heard, but it confirmed what he had suspected...these Aesir would only tell them what they wanted them to know.

They were in danger. How much, he couldn't know. But he could feel it in the air, making his skin tingle.

He had to convince Marin to leave.*

----------

*Raschel looked behind her. No one was there except Guy* Orthos? Are you dreaming again?

*Idun looks at Aidan with a piercing eyes. Almost as if Idun was reading Aidan mind and nothing could be hidden from her*

Idun whispering so where only Heimdall could here (almost mouthing the words): I trust you know that Aidan was able to hear some if not all of our conversations.

Heimdall: I know.

*Heimdall walks behind Aidan, leans over and talks into his ear*

Heimdall: My dear gargoyle, I know you heard some of our conversation and are suspicous. Please think about this, if we were truely trying to hide information from you do you think we would talk in front of you, and a jedi who could enhance her hearing? If you must know, my brother told me that two Norns, who are very important to my people died yesterday. Finally ask if your curious, we hold true to our word. Oh, and yes we have had experiences with gargoyles in the past.

[Redwing: I meant Syrnl hadn't been noticed, not that he was invisible]

*Syrnl stares blankly at Raschel*

Syrnl: I'm right here...don't you see me? Irvine...Cracken...he was a big name in the Emperor's day. What are you doing here...and is that a gargoyle?

Orthos: So full of questions, father.

((OOS: Vidar said "They don't need to know about this"

@Deac: Oops :animelol:

But Syrnl has gone kooky if he thinks the human Guy or reptile/lion-like K'beran Raschel is a gargoyle ;) but then again maybe he's never seen a K'beran, considering their rareness))

*Guy moves out of the way, revealing Syrnl to Raschel's sight*

Raschel: Syrnl...you are Syrnl?

*Raschel points her blaster in his face* You're the murderer who killed my parents for hiding me. Don't remember me, huh? Well that's because you never saw me...but I was there, all right...the alien sheltered by the Kamios family.

And you killed them for it.

You might have fooled Orthos, but certainly not me!

*Guy stares in puzzlement at Syrnl* He said "gargoyle". He called Raschel a gargoyle...she's a K'beran. She doesn't look that much like one.

But there are no gargoyles here. That I know of...

*Flash. Guy running into Heimdall's ship, cursorly glancing over the passengers, yelling warning for at Heimdall to leave.

One of the passengers...

Blue skin. Spiked brow. Pointed ears. Hints of fangs. Wings. A tail.

A gargoyle! How could he have missed that?!

The girl that had been sitting next to him...

He had seen her picture somewhere. In casefiles. He was sure of it.

This may go deeper than I thought...and I have a feeling I won't like where it takes me...

Oh no! With all this time I've wasted, the others could get there before me!

Orthos. I hate to ask this of someone in your condition...but will you come with me on a very small trip? I promise, it won't take long.

Not with a warp drive, anyway, but you won't know that.

Why don't I just go without them...? They'll make things much more difficult. Then again, I have no idea what I'm going to do once I get there! Couldn't that damned vision have been more specific...?

((True, Vidar doesn't think they need to know, since they have been given a ton of information, there was no need to burden them with the death of two Norns. Especially since they wouldn't know the significance of that. However, the Aesir are true to their word, if Aidan, or any of the group asked then they would have been told))

Irvine in a low tone: "Raschel, Syrnl is powerful in the force, if he was here to kill us, we'd already be half dead. But until we are all sure on your claim for him killing your relitives, I suddjest you lower the gun, becuase if you pull the trigger, you'd be dead before that bullet left the barrel..."

*Syrnl stares sadly at Raschel*

I did...you're right. But...if it comforts you, Raschel, then I will tell you this *He notices Orthos is not listening and whispers*...I will...die...

Once joined with an Avatar, we are not meant to live without it...I have about three months before I am judged. I'm supposed to be dead anyway. Kill me if you wish. Tell Orthos my condition accelerated. Lie to the crew of the Pheonix, let Orthos take the beam weapons.

Do all this and you will be a Darkstar. If my brother was able to show me one thing before...*Syrnl pauses...as if to say "he was taken elsewhere," not "his death", but continues* it was forgiveness and acceptance.

If you let me live, I want you to help me take down Lokpihet and Reletha.

*Orthos looks at Guy*

What sort of trip?
