((OOS: Deac: Scar, Syrnl is not a natural Jedi. As far as I know, he has no Force powers - Deac, am I right?))

*Raschel stares Syrnl down over the barrel of her rifle*

Forgiveness and acceptance?

This is the man who killed my father.

*Another voice spoke in her head*

He's not the Darkstar anymore.

If you kill him, you'll be just like him...no...you'll be him.

*Raschel's eyes widen and she points the rifle barrel safely at the ceiling. She turns away, not looking at Syrnl as she speaks* Orthos inherited an Avatar too - did you know that? But he did what you didn't - he rejected it. He rejected evil for good, Syrnl. Maybe if you'd done the same before it corrupted your soul, you would have a chance now. But if you're telling the truth, it's too late. Fate, I suppose, has a better punishment for you than any I could devise.

Guy: *to Orthos* To find your friend Heimdall. I...well, it's important. It will take too long if I try to explain right now. You okay to go?

Hopefully he'll feel he owes it to me for getting him off that planet in one piece...

*Invisible to everyone in the room, cloaked from the Force, a watching man in a dark trenchcoat smiles sadly at Raschel and Syrnl, turns, and leaves through the wall*

[Red: Syrnl is a jedi in the same way as Deac. Once he saw the experiment worked on Deac, he used the treatment for himself, but Deac destroyed the lab- or did he? New RPG idea...]

*Syrnl looks with sympathy at Raschel.*

You're right...tell me...does he know...about what could happen to him? He was always a bright child...and I was such a poor father. Nevertheless, my time draws short...and I might just go to purgatory if I take out the Darkstar's other children.

*Syrnl places a supportive hand on Orthos shoulder*

Son...whatever I did before...I'm sorry. And I'm proud of you now. Be careful. Be safe. You're this galaxy's only hope...Darkkiller.

*He turns to Guy*

You keep him alive out there.

*Exits*

((Ah. Thanks for clarifying ^_^))

*Raschel and Guy help Orthos to Guy's ship*

Raschel: Guy, if it's alright I'd like to take along the ship I used to get here.

Guy: That may not be the best idea, Raschel...I have a feeling we may be met with hostility when we get to our destination, and your fighter is only just combat-worthy. *looks at the Assault Gunboat critically*

*to Orthos* Do you have any meds we should bring along?

----------

*Aidan sits in his room stewing. He didn't trust or like the Aesir, but as far as he could figure out he was stuck with them. If Marin---her voice spoke in his head*

<Aidan, I know you can't reply, but if you can hear me, and they didn't take your pack, look in it.>

*Aidan picks the pack up off the floor and looks in it* What am I looking for?

*As if she had heard him, another reply came* <There's something new in there. I got it from the Shadow's ship.> *somehow she managed to get across a grin in the tone of her voice* <It's a blue cube...the blue cube. The morphing cube.>

Heimdall: If you will follow me, I will show you to your rooms.

*The group gets up and follows Heimdall out of the council chambers. He leads them to a large elegant room, which connects to three bedrooms. Heimdall then points each to their respective rooms*

Heimdall: Misea, that is your room *motions to the center bedroom*. You will find necessary equipment to pratice your lightsaber if you so desire. Aidan, this is your room *points to the left bedroom* it was designed to better accomadate your kind. Maring *motions to the bedroom on the right* that is your room. If any of you need anything hit the call button on the table. Dinner will be served in two hours. Until then I will take my leave.

*Aidan sits in his room stewing. He didn't trust or like the Aesir, but as far as he could figure out he was stuck with them. If Marin---her voice spoke in his head*..... ((pointless to redo the whole thing but this is where Red's post begins if you couldn't tell ;) ))

----------------------------

*Heimdall meets Vidar, they sit down and drink some tea*

Heimdall: It is good to see you again. When will the funeral be for the Norns?

Vidar: Tomorrow

Heimdall: We should invite our guest.

Vidar: We will do that. Maybe it will lessen their suspicion.

Heimdall: They have everyright to be suspicious, if they weren't then I don't know if I would trust them at all. We know have to protect them though. They are being hunted by the Shadows.

Vidar: As long as they are in our care then the Shadows will not take them. What are your impressions of our guest.

Heimdall: The Misea is going through a hard time. Aidan, is hot headed, Marin is more rational. Now just for the others to arrive.

Irvine: "Well to speak of it, If it weren't for thus 'Guy's help, with me tryign to save Orthos, I could have been killed, My powers witht he force are weak. I believe with the proper training I could be very helpful to Orthos in defeating Lokpehit. Shall you help me? Maybe, it'll might help you when you eventually be one with the force, that is if you manage to find something good to do before your passing... depending how much dark things you have done in your life..."

Guy: I suppose Irvine isn't coming...well, we can always come back for him in any case.

*Guy closes the canopy of the fighter, then cloaks the windows, preventing any of the others from seeing outside*

Can't have them wondering why hyperspace looks so funny all of a sudden...

*Guy presses several buttons on the console and brings down what looks like a targeting computer and looks in* Readying for jump to hyperspace...

Raschel: But you haven't started the engines yet.

Guy: Ah...well, this fighter's a little unusual. I, uh, have to set the...settings before taking off.

Raschel: I...see.

----------

<It's a blue cube...the blue cube. The morphing cube.>

*The morphing cube. The ultimate result of the experiments those...scientists...did on Marin back on Earth...with the ability to duplicate her ability to morph in anyone who touches it.

The cube had originally come from an ancient alien race that had developed the morphing technology. They had disabled the device, but not before it had affected a human...a Water Breather. One of Marin's ancestors. The ability apparently encoded itself in his DNA so thoroughly that it had been passed on in his descendants as a recessive genetic trait. Marin was unable to give the power to someone else, but someone had found the cube...and kidnapped Marin to somehow use her DNA to reactivate it. She'd stolen the cube only to be captured by the Shadows, who had taken it without realizing its worth...

<Aidan, I'm in morph, and this morph can see right through that wall. At least, I can see your skeleton, but never mind. Are you going to touch it or what?>

*Aidan removed the containment package from around the cube, unable to help being nervous.* This...this...

<Touch it! Concentrate on it!>

*Aidan regarded the innocent-looking blue cube. He couldn't help but feel he was betraying Marin by using it...considering how it had been crea---*

<Come on, Aidan.>

*Aidan swept all the conflicting thoughts from his mind and grasped the cube. A tingling, electrical feeling flowed through his body*

Syrnl: I won't become one with the force. But I can still save my soul. But I am not fit to teach the force. I did not deserve the force. However, I need help tracking Lokpihet down. You're welcome to join me.

Orthos: Deac told me about another universe. Do you know of it?

Guy: *concealing his surprise* Another universe? Who is...Deac?

----------

*That was all. Just a tingly feeling. No flash of light. No epiphanies*

Marin: <Okay, you'll have to wait till you can acquire something to morph. But you have the power now. Remember two things...first, when you first morph something, be careful of the creature's mind. The first time, it has a tendency to take over. Second thing, remember you'll have the same two-hour time limit I have. Stay in a morph past that and you'll never be able to leave it...>

<*laugh* And if you're thinking of morphing me, you can forget that right now. Perv.>

She didn't understand any of the danger they were in. She felt invincible. She was foolish.

*Guy narrows his eyes at Rwos' name* Termand Se'enth Rwos...yes, I've heard of him.

*Guy is silent for about a minute* Yes, your uncle was correct. There is another universe. I was born there...it is my home.

But the Blades are no friends of mine.

*Guy narrows his eyes again* Tell me...when Deac died on the Crimson Star...was his friend Rwos with him?

----------

There is no emotion..there is peace.

There is no ignorance...there is knowledge.

There is no passion...there is serenity.

There is no death...there is the Force.

The ancient Jedi code. Misae could almost hear her dead master reciting the words to her...yes, the words, now no more than just that, words. Without his presence behind them, that was all they were.

Words.

Beware of your fear, Misae.

Fear leads to anger.

Anger leads to hate.

Hate leads to suffering.

Words.

Anger, hate, aggression...they are the Dark Side. Stay away from those emotions, Misae. They will dominate you, and you will be taken by darkness.

Just words.

Yes, I fear. I am greatly afraid. He was the a father to me...I am afraid...afraid of the Aesir who killed him...more afraid of life without him...

Fear leads to anger.

Just words.

Yes, I anger...I am greatly angry, angry at that arrogant race of murderers who killed my master...

Anger leads to hate.

Just words.

Yes, I hate...I hate, I hate them!

Hate leads to suffering.

Just...words...

Yes...

I suffer...

((Redwing: I'm curious do you everplan on having Guy takeoff?))

*Heimdall leaves Vidar, and wanders the corridors of the palace. During his wandering he encounters Idun. They walk side by side.*

Heimdall: Hello Idun

Idun: Hello Heimdall. You seem troubled?

Heimdall: Just thinking about my father. First time I have been able to do that since his death.

Idun: We have been busy lately haven't we. No one has had time to morn the dead.

Heimdall: And now we face another threat, and more death with Fenrir released, not to mention the Shadows. These are dark times we live in.

Idun: Yes they are, but there is hope. If the quest is completed then this presant would never exist, and all the dead would live once again. Be prepared I'm pretty sure that your other companions will be angry when they find out who we are, and probably won't be as subdued as your other companions.

Heimdall: Most likely, but that is to be expected. They don't understand why we did what we did. I doubt that they ever will.

Idun: With luck they never will truely know.

((They did take off - they're in warp-space. It may be faster than hyperspace, but it's not instantaneous ;)))

Guy: The Blades are self-appointed policemen. They were created long ago to act as guardians... and they expanded their power gradually over time till they controlled all dimensional travel whatsover. They are an arrogant...

*beep*

We've arrived.

*The windows of the fighter clear and become transparent again, revealing...nothing. A sun hung in the distance, but nothing appeared close except asteroids*

Okay...scanning...

As I thought...a planet...but it's blurred somehow...and completely invisible to the naked eye.

What are these aliens capable of?

Raschel: Huh? How can you make a whole planet just...disappear?

((Never thought that it was. I however did look and you never said he tookoff only that he was fiddling with a computer...))

*warning sirens sounded as Guy's ship entered the system. Interrupting Heimdall's and Idun's conversation. They meet Vidar and Tyr in the hanger and Grab a transport to The Pride of Vidi. Vidar's flagship. Meanwhile a cloaked Frigate, approaches Guy's ship*

*on the way to The Pride of Vidi*

Idun: Well either the rest of your company has arrived, or we have some enemies.

Heimdall: How many ships?

Vidar: Only a small ship. However that could be a disguise. Idun, we are going to need you to get a positive ID once we have captured them.

Idun: Yes lord.

Tyr: Well this should be fun. Either way we know there is a shadow on board.

*The transport enter's the Flagships hanger, and the Four head to the bridge. The Pride of Vidi and support ships cloak and move towards Guy's ship. A squad of Beserks station themselves outside Misea, Adians, and Marin's room to protect them just in case. The Frigate near guy's ship begins to broadcast a message along all frequencies*

Message: You have entered restricted space. Turn off your engines and all nonesstential system. Await pickup.

*The Frigate then fires a shot across the bow of Guy's ship*

Message continues: That will be your only warning Shadow.

*The fleet approaches Guy's ship stops within tracktor range, and readies all weapons*

((Oh))

*Guy turns on the comm systems* Well I suppose I should broadcast a---

You have entered restricted space. Turn off your engines and all nonessential systems. Await pickup.

*The voice somehow triggered a vision. Guy saw his ship, flying through space, from a third person view, far removed, as a cloaked ship fired a shot across its bow. Faintly - That will be your only warning Shadow.

He could see all the monstrous Aesirian ships, sitting in a haze that must have been cloaking devices. He could even see the cloaked planet hanging ever so much closer than he had imagined...

He could hear, too, more than he could have heard as a human. Screams echoing through the shattered systems...the dying thoughts of hundreds of peoples...including the Aesir...

The aliens are called the Aesir?

They were the ones who were responsible for the destruction...why didn't I see it before? But somehow...it doesn't feel as if they did it for evil...

Suddenly everything sped up around him. He was moving faster than light in the astral plane, everything around him a dizzying blur. Then, everything slowed down again.

A man stood floating in front of him. Looking at him.

"My name is T."

Guy: Wh...who...what are you?!

T: I am someone more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

Guy: How are you...speaking to me?

T: You aren't the only one with such gifts.

Guy: But...but...how...why...

T: I do not have your power to see the future, but I do have the power to see the past, and the present. While you are blind to both.

----------

*Raschel hits Guy* Wake up, stupid! *hastily examines the controls of the fighter* Augh! I don't even know which is the comlink!

Guy: ...Blind?

T: Yes. Blind.

*the stars blur and rush together again, and when the two's surroundings resolves itself, they are in a dry ravine...covered with bodies. About twenty feet away a savage, enormous wolf-like creature crouches over one body, ripping it to shreds and devouring it*

T: It is called Fenrir. It cannot see or hear us. Even if it could, it would not understand. Its mind is all-consumed in its feeding frenzy.

Guy: I don't understand.

T: You will.

*In an instant, he was back on his ship, to Raschel yelling in his face* STOP THE SHIP!
