No need for the flaming, but i do agree, Anakin was the chosen one. HE is the one who killed the emperor, not luke. The emperor was going to kill luke and then dance on his dead body.

Anakin is the one with the highest medi-chlorian count ever.....

 

Even though we don't really know Luke's for sure, I find it difficult to believe that it would be higher than his fathers.

Come on, Anakin was the chosen, remember he had no father he was conceived by the will of the Force. There is no doubt he was the chosen one. Anakin in his prime wud hav been able to take anyone, i think.

I placed Jerec on this post because, although he was only a Dark Jedi, his skills with the Dark Side of the Force were immense, maybe even good enough to become a Sith Lord. He deserves a place in this post.

 

Anakin Skywalker is the chosen one because he finally brought balance to the Force: he killed Emperor Palpatine, not Luke. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader defeated the Empire, because basically the Emperor was the Empire.

 

I think some of you are being unfair to Darth Maul in here (I know it's your opinion, but this is mine). He was a great Sith Apprentice. OK, only an apprentice, but given the chance he could have risen to the challenge of becoming a Sith Lord or even Master. Remember: Yoda and Mace Windu didn't know which Sith Darth Maul was ("Which was destroyed? The Master or the Apprentice?"), so they could have easily mistaken him for the Sith Master based on the powers they had witnessed. However, the fact that a young Jedi Padawan defeated Darth Maul tells the Jedi that he was not the most powerful Sith.

The fallen Sith Apprentice was good, but Count Dooku is much better. If Darth Maul fought Yoda, he would have been down in seconds. At least Dooku can hold his own against the greatest Jedi in the galaxy.

Guys, stop knowkcin Vader. I'm not a super-hardcore SW fan person, but come on! He was the chosen one. He restored order to the force by wiping out the light Jedi and the Sith, leaving only the new Jedi, along with a few survivors, to take care of the new era which began after the empire fell.

 

and he could kik most of those guys' asses. especially maul. vader isnt slow, he just uses force and power more than speed. he definitely had better usage of the force than the maul guy, as seen in tesb. his armor doesnt slow him any, he just uses his raw power as a weapon instead of fancy acrobatics. i guess he didnt take dance classes when being trained to kill ppl.

 

as for tyranus, that dooku guy, he would lose to vader. anakin was just too young and didnt know how to use the force properly. as vader, he would have much better control and woudl control himself as well, not being driven by rage or emotions. more calculating, and wouldnt make mistakes. tyranus may have some tricks, but come on. vader! he could probly use the force better than dooku and just choke the bleepard b4 he got within 20 ft to use his saber.

 

sidious could beat him, but thats it.
