Protocol Version 15

Certain servers always give me the error - "protocol version 15", when I try and join. Is this a complicated way of informing me that this server is running one of the mods?

 

I had mods and will never try them...

i thinks its different versions, ie 1.02, 1.03, could be mods as well

Or to get on topic: protocol 15 is the servers way to tell that your patch is NOT the same as the one the server is running. I think protocol 15 is v.1.03 and protocol 16 is v1.04 but i'm not sure. What I DO know is that is has nothing to do with mods. I have the 1.04 installed and can connect to almost all the JO servers. If I get the protocol message I know that the servers is running another patch than I. So I find a different server

idd 1.03 is protocol 15 and 1.04 is protocol 16
