Rekked
I was reading spacemokey's tutorial on Jedi Outcast model meshing: Fit your model around the root.xsi skeleton How do import this into gmax to fit my model around the skeleton? I know this may have been answered before, but the search engine has been disabled, and it would be much too work to look around in every thread.... Thanks in advance

Emon
No. At the moment, you NEED 3DSM. Several people are working on different XSI importers/exporters for different programs. One is for Milkshape, the other is for JED, the JK level editor.
Commodus
If you get 3ds max somehow and need to convert from gmax to 3ds, you will need to download a script to export the gmax to obj and then copy and paste the stuff that's inside the listener into notepad (everything except the last two lines) and save that as an .obj file. After that, you need to download a utility (something like Deep Exploration or something with Deep) to convert the obj file to 3ds. I was going to give you this but it's gone now.... but the content stayed in my memory, hence the explanation above...
