I'm in big poopoo...

I just came home today (well technically it was yesterday, i just didnt really sleep) and when i opened my comp i got some problems...

i dont know if they are conected to each others or not, but here they are:

 

1. i tried to download ACDSee from Kaza..when i opened my recieved files folder it was filled with files i dont want and didnt download, porn, games, firewalls, codes..i dont really need all that crap...everytime i deleted the files and reopened the folder, the files came back! in the end, i deleted my recieved kaza folder....so now, how can i download things again?

2.i keep getting a DOS window open without me doing anything, and then an error message saying something like "can not move file moo.something to c:/" or something like that...this seems to happen only when ICQ is shut off...

3.my computer is really slow!! and checking for errors/defragmenting takes forever if at all

Congratulations, you have a virus. Look at the file size before you download them. If they're sub-100k, chances are they're a virus. I do not remember how to clean it, but if you want to stop the DOS box, right click it and go to properties. It'll pause and leave you in peace.

 

I think there's some lines in sysedit.exe you need to change to fix it, unless I'm thinking of a different virus. If not, search norton.com for 'moo.txt' or find a real copy (check the file size, look for a file that's at least 20 megs) of Norton Antivirus and clean your PC.

I can help you with one thing - to download files again assign another folder for Kazaa to put files in ^_^

BTW yes this is spam, but I don't think I would be of much help, cause my solution would be kicking your PC and rebooting it till it works, if that fails, blame your dad

Try checking your task manager, wotever is taking the most RAM and CPU % end it... it accually turned out to BE Norton AntiVirus that was taking 97-99% of CPU power when my comp was slow...now its raving fast.
