"thA dekMan"
Now... I was under the impression that becoming force sensitive was the random part of becoming a jedi, and there was nothing you could do about it. But I just recently read: An FS character will then need to find a tutor/mentor to teach him Jedi skills and this will be a PC who is currently a Jedi Knight. This also brings up the question of how anyone will become the first Jedi if there are none to teach but most assume that GM’s will take this role in the beginning of new servers. After the character has a teacher he can begin to learn Jedi skills just like any other skill tree. This will be done in the form of Jedi Trials. Your teacher will put you through these missions and this is where the randomness of becoming a Jedi will come from. The Jedi teacher will most likely not be able to choose the entire make up of the trial himself as this might invite collusion by players. The student will begin as a Padawan and progress through a whole series of titles and might even become a Jedi Master. This exact process of how the character will progress through these skills is also a mystery. It has been said that the path to becoming a Jedi will NOT be the same for everyone. There will be no duplication in the process as to prevent any sort of guide or walkthrough to be written to show someone how. The other exception to this profession is that a Jedi must follow the Jedi Code or risk loosing his powers. How the Jedi Code will be implemented into a MM computer game is unknown. they than go on to say: The question you are still probably asking however is how then will one take that first step and become Force Sensitive. Most importantly (to many of us) is that it has been stated that it will not be random. At the same time however there will be no exact way to become FS. This may seem like a contradiction but the Development team assures us that this is true. What advice should one have if they wish to pursue the Jedi path? To take a quote from Yoda, “do or do not, there is no try.” so whats the deal? Random or not? This was from stratics by the way.
setsuko
Bah. If the teacher sets up the trials for the padawan, it could be abused a lot. Want the entire PA to be jedi? "For this jedi master trial, you must... fetch us a shrubbery!"*poof!*. The entire Rebel Alliance? "Cut down the largest tree in the wood... with a herring!" *poof!* *poof!* *poof!* I guess (read: hope) there's more to it than that.

ibballin
can someone be a little FS? for example can someone have some force powers without being a jedi? they said that everyone can be jedi so does that mean everyone can have force powers or do they have to be a jedi to you the force? "thA dekMan"
i agree with wraith... i think u will somehow (and i have no idea) find out that u are FS, and u will have to nourish it, and take action or it will die away.
