1) Do you need a regular http mirror? Some people seem to be having problems dling the file, I could post it on my website for you, if you wish, and I could email the file submission for you - if someone is a filemaster and can tell me if this is kosher or not, let me know.

2) Haven't loaded this up yet, but I've been looking through the files, does Saga Gameplay still come up with N/A on the loading screen? (I know how to fix this, but it'll require different qvms)

3) Is this just ASk's saga-code-fixed-qvm's that he posted?

4) You should split the saga stuff from the map stuff - ie, separate pk3's, so your map can be used with other Saga Mods

On another note, after reading through the saga file, I can see how my map wasn't working, now I'll be able to make a saga map, too!

Hey Wudan,

In answer to your questions.

1) yes

2) Yes

3) yes - I haven't seen any updates/fixes/additions to it yet, so that's all I have to work with! :-)

4) A good idea, but just wanted everything together in one place so as not to confuse the general public initially - just wanted them to get it going!

Glad it helps you get your map running!

Still haven't seen Andy867's review... is there one?

Yes, 'wudan should host it" yes?

In any case, I'd recommend splitting up the PK3 betwixt map and saga qvm/gameplay changes, that way your map can work with other mods that have saga.

In any case, I have an updated Saga mod, with some extra features I think you'll like, but I haven't changed gameplay or anything, so not to worry.

Oh, my saga mod will have that N/A thing fixed, rotating doors, MP weather effects, ladders, and stuff. I'd like to combine forces with somebody who has already modified saber combat, because I don't want to modify that nearly as much as I'd like to modify who can use sabers, ie, no more stormies with sabers.

I'm very open to new ideas and suggestions, tho.

I always wanted to see Rich Diesels Kamino Platform with Rain!

Hopefully when the Ep2 DVD comes out in just over a week, more people will be inspired to do stuff!

I also hope my map will inspire a few more people to add SAGA to their maps - it's pretty easy. Heck, you could probably think up SAGA objectives for a duel size map!

Well it could be lookin a little better, but the crappiness of it is largely in the control of the mapper - if you want I could whip up a little demo of it for y'all, and I'll try to fix snow also ;)

Weather needs a rough stress test, I am not the original author of the effects, but I have the authors 100% permission to include it, he's quite pleased to see the effect make it's way to JK2.

nope, the single-player rain sucked ;P

my new rain forms under skyboxes and lands, and impacts.

This Anchorhead map is HUGE. So huge in fact that it neither works by itself, or with my mod. At least, it won't play.

I can load the map, and when it gets to the team select box, it freezes up. I might be able to get it to load if the initial camera wasn't looking at so many polys (I don't know how much there is, but this is a huge bsp)

So ... uh ... I'd put fog in the map - one of the reasons Raven probably didn't include Saga is because they didn't want to put fog in any of the maps. However, the closest relative to Saga Maps, Wolfenstein (in terms of size, that is), has no MP maps without fog.

So, I'm not sure what you want to do about this ... but ... yeah, it's a problem of mine, I guess. This map worked for other people, I guess I'm the only one :(

My system is an AMD Duron 950 with a GF2 MX 400 and 256 mbs of ram, so I can run the standard game with excellent framerates (sometimes in the 90s and 100s), but this map doesn't load.

Is it just me? Somebody with a crappier system try to run the map and I'll re-install JK2 and try again. I do have the latest drivers for my GF2, somebody help me out here.

Ok, I changed the file, still didn't work, changed it again to 192, still doesn't work, freezes on team select, so I told the game to start a logfile, devmapped the game, and quit during load process (if I let it go through until it freezes, it doesn't save the logfile), and this is what I got:

http://users.sisna.com/wudan/qconsole.log.txt

I moved all the pk3s I've downloaded from base, and yours is the only one in the saga directory (with the original qvms), and it didn't come up with any major errors. The only error, really,

CM_GridPlane unresolvable, is not a major error, and isn't something to worry about.

So, basically, I can't run your map, and I can't see why :(
