With the release of Galactic Battlegrounds: SAGA just around the corner, Galactic Battles.com have again been given an EXCLUSIVE interview with game director Garry Gaber.

 

Like the last time, I will be opening up some questions to you, the forum users. So please think carefully about your question and only ONE question per member please.

 

If you feel your question is not right, you can always use the Edit button to change it. Please try and make it game related and I will select the best ones and put them to Garry when I do the interview.

IS their a way to make a mod for the game that will actually add new charecters or civilizations. and to change stats of other units? as you may or may not know. modding is an essential way to keep games popular and profitable by keeping the game from getting boring to the users. for example for the mod called "bid for power" for quake 3 arena. thosands of people went to buy quake 3 just to play that mod. As of now we the people of the SWGB community know how to change graphics, sounds, and names. and have put in units such as the droid control ship and prince Xizor. but in doing this we completly replace another unit. we would like to know how to add new units and such.

Yes, but for some Windows ME users, like me, they take forever to install. Mods are also torturous to make, being a near expert modder myslef. It would be better for LA to make their own more compatible way to mod.

 

Mr. Gaber, will any tools be released in the future by LEC to allow easier modding to SWGB and CC?

yup totally agree corran but i suggest that if u make swgbg2 (i hope u do) that the campaigns should be based on something on or based around the time of one of the book series such as the new jedi order or the thrawn trilogy

If there will be future releases and expansions of Galactic Battlegrounds, have you considered adding eyecandy units that promote an interior atmosphere? Such as tables and rugs.

 

 

I have gone to great lengths to post this. I am sort of new to the forums, but not the game itself. It is very important for scenarios. :)

Is LucasArts Planning to release any new patches to modify the existing civilisations AND if they do will you modify Trade Federation so in tech 4 they are a little bit more decent (as they are weak in most parts, they are a mech strong civ but dont have the strongest mechs, GE have repeaters sith heavy weapons like them, sea is never used etc) and the jedi starfighter (as it is essentailly a fighter with a bit more hp and range and costs more and stealth is never used and the only time most people use it is when they have a fort and spare nova.)

I am glad your mad. I am entitled to one question to ask Garry Gaber. I have talked to many people who want to see capital ships in an expansion pack.
