I'm having trouble with the yoda model, I downloaded it and did as the read me said, putting it in the base folder, but the model doesn't load. The readme also says I need JediMod V1.1, which I downloaded but have no idea how to use it. Can someone help? Please?

Well, as AB_Legion would say, Welcome to the Lucasforums, and here is a basket full of goodies as you browse through our forums.

Now here's me.. One of the best options ever offered to the Lucasforums is the Edit button, which appears near the bottom of your post. This comes in handy when you want to add something onto the post, especially if its from under like say a 90-minute mark, unless there have other posts, usually like 3-5 after yours within that time frame.

The Readme.txt is one of the best manuals for loading up a model into your game. 2 Readme.txt files make better than one. Bascially, you will want to extract from the yoda zip file the yoda.pk3 file into your \Lucasarts\Star Wars JKII Jedi Oucast\Gamedata\Base folder and for JediMod v1.2c, you will want to extract that into a new folder in the Gamedata Folder called JediMod. From there, you just go into the game, go to setup, look for the MODS option, and just load the MOD, and May the Force Be With You.

Ok you don't have to be rude about it, its not like i'm spamming the boards or something I'm a newcomer. And i'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum I'm new here, I didnt know which one it should go.

What I'd like to know, is if the Yoda skin can be used in SP, and how.

No sir, YOU don't have to be rude about it. He was EXTREMELY polite and giving you valuable information without being rude. That's alot to ask from regular posters around here. But to chide the News and Filemaster of JK2.net for clueing you in...well that's never recommended.

To sum up... don't attack the admins. That's a quick way to get blacklisted as an arsehole.

I agree with Scotchy, Andy867 give you a very good and polite answer about your question. Anyway, there is no need to be rude. If you ask nicely anyone will give you a hint about how resolve your dilemma.

To show you that WE the people in this forum have good will...

if you want to use Yoda as a SP playable character then all you have to do is have a pk3 archive in the base directory with the model and skin you want in the directory \models\players\kyle.

Be advised, the model of the little cool guy will not appear at proper size, [if it is possible I don't know how to do it, but I guess that is a no-go situation for now] ... so why bother?.

If you need more info about it, just go and check others posts here and also in jk2files forums...

Edit: Something else in my mind, I was wondering if you actually can resize yoda to his correct height, you will be too small to be able to open door and activate switches, don't you?

There was a big ole' discussion about this way back when the idea of first modeling of yoda came about. basically, it would be virtually impossible, because all kinds scripting changes and modifications would have to be made within the SP Source code, which we all know isn't possible. Like every level would have to be scaled, plus the whole damage target_box would have to be modified, etc.

So, looks like we will have to wait for yet another LUCASARTS game for which we can play as Yoda or some other legendary short Jedi master ;)

D'oh!
