WIP Duel Map

I'm very pleased to hear of the itching. My main mapping days are thursday and friday, the rest o the week I'm sketching out new ideas. There's quite a few changes I made to this map since last thursday, it should be pretty good.

 

I'm going to try to over come my OCD and break up the symetry a bit - if you know what I mean. Supposedly the latest Q3map2 has the fixes to lightmaps that I'm looking for.

I want it to have the gritty-ness and static cling from q3 - the skybox is from JO, the rest of the texs' are custom, by Zul, MaDaVentor, or myself (the alpha tex's are by myself ... I think there's only one in there, but I made 3 or 4 others that will be in the final)

Hehe - already thought of it - now, the next question, is do you mind the little light 'splotches' that appear instead of the green lights in this next pic:

Also, should I try to lighten up those blue lights .. to make them less ... blue?

Ok, I have a better idea now of what I wanna do - I'm gonna fog this bad boy.

 

After updating my RTCW and playing, I miss that gritty, Kill teh Zani Nazi feel, so I'm gonna do my best to get that feel - just over a lake of lava!
