Blues Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Ok, I just got a new comp last week, and my computer is networked to my cable modem through a wireless router I just installed. Ever server I've joined in MP so far gives me the connection interupted message alot more frequently than it did before I got my new comp and router. I tried updatin my drivers for my vid card but I dunno if that helped at all. Can somebody help out?
Blues Posted November 18, 2002 Author Posted November 18, 2002 Does anyone know anything about port forwarding on a Linksys router and which ports JO uses? I put 28060 to 28081 and selected protocol UDP but I dunno if it's correct or not...
Datheus Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Yes, the the port settings are correct, as far as I know.... my only guess with your connection problems is interference with your wireless connection... are you sure it's within the suggest range for best preformace?
Andy867 Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 With Port Forwarding, there should be an option under the Advanced Tab near the bottom of the Filter tab near the bottom that says Block WAN Request.. Make sure that this is DISABLED Also, for the Actual Port Forwarding, make sure it is on TCP and UDP or the option BOTH. I will see if there's anything else you need, but I think that's it.

Lathain Valtiel Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 ..Umm.. Blues. You're forgetting to tell them the specifics. He is running a sort of Wireless Cable Modem... I wouldn't know it's name. I looked at his drivers for him, they're updated. He's using the WUSB11 (I think) Ethernet card.

vorlonbob Posted November 22, 2002 Posted November 22, 2002 Just had broadband installed, keep getting 'connection interrupted' while trying to play JK2 online, makes it unplayable. Works great with Battlefield 1942, but JK2 and MOH suck. Its really frustrating as i wanna play this online
