Guardian Omega
Hmmmmm, interesting, since I put out the firewall, it says there is one user connected to my computer's C Drive and dumping files in my Windows folder..........Interesting, looks like time to put it back up and set C as not shared. Thanks for your help anyway, I'm going to see if this works.
BCanr2d2
If you have Win 2K or XP, then you should setup an account with the name administrator, or admin, and make it a limited user. Since most hacking programs will try and hack the admin username, then make it have limited access, then if they do hack in, then they will have little access to your PC. Even more, change it so that it is disabled, or is no user groups, so it can not access resources...

A new virus I got a while ago disables all firewalls and virus programs. I had to reformat, it wasn't pretty. My suggestion, keep the wall up and do a system scan twice a month. Bilbo Skywalker
I had a similar virus that kept recreating itself, if the virus scanner finds an infected file delete it don't try to repair it, unless its an important file. try the online virus scan at nortons webpage: http://security2.norton.com/ssc/home.asp?j=1&langid=us&venid=sym&plfid=23&pkj=JISJZTYMWPAZTJWUFJJ it will identify the virus and give you full removal instructions. [RAA]-=Chi3f=-
This is a new virus. It was on the Screen Savers on Tech tv. It hides it's self in multiple locations throughout the windows and system folders. It has multiple timebombs and a few trojan horses. The point of this virus is to kill your computers defense and hack your ip to gain control of your connection. It doesn't really affect your computer's performance, but it opens the door for any hacker or virus to get in. I have a 1500 or 1.5mb connection. When this happened I was getting 100k instead of 1500k. It's designed to destroy all virus aps and firewalls. So like I said either have another HD ready to reinstall or keep the firewall up.
