Cheat codes not working....WHY!?!?!

Okay everyone here is another problem that I have.

 

While in Single-Player mode I tried to use the cheat codes.......and none of them worked.

 

So I pulled down the console thingy using shift + ~. Then I typed in the following "/HelpUsObi 1" with a space between Obi and 1. Then was there supposed to be some type of sound or something? Because I mean when I typed that in nothing happened. So then I typed in a cheat "/giveall" and "/notarget"......nothing happened. This is starting to piss me off because I'm now in the second level, you know....that cave/minery place and there is just hordes of enimies and all I have is this little blaster. All I want to do is just get some codes to help me out. But when I type them in, nothing happens......why is that!?!?!?!?!!? What am I doing wrong, or what am I not doing right?

Try using "devmapall" (without any slashes before it) to enable cheats. Then use the cheat codes.

The right codes are "give all" ( with a space ) and "notarget" (without "/" ) . If you want to check if cheats are enabled type only "helpusobi" .

when you have opened the ~ +shift and it opens the developers switch first you need to type devmapall then enter then the commands like give all and setforceall 3 and so on

ya dont use slashes before the cheat code, and i think it will work.

well,either type these:

 

HelpUsObi 1(without slash in front)

Cheats(without slash in front)

 

or,type

 

DevMapAll(no slash)

(Cheats)(no slash)

 

or

 

DevMap(map number)

(cheats)

 

I got past the final part in the second level by typing these:

DevMap2

because that damn lasers and all the freakin' radiation makes it super hard to go through without cheats.Either I pass the lasers with LOW health and then die of radiation,or I can't get pass the lasers at all and then die.it's real silly so I just whipped up the cheats and breezed through the level.Since cheats only for level 2,the whole gaming experience wouldn't be ruined(first time playing,though!)

I can`t even get that far.

I`ve tried SHIFT and ~, but nothing happens.
