Skate Boy
I asked this over in Yodas Swamp a while back, but there are some people over here that aren't at the Swamp. Does anyone play Guitar, Bass, Drums ect.? I play all three and have been for awhile. It's pretty much my life and I'm just wondering if anyone else plays. edlib
I'll cut and paste my response from this thread. "I play guitar, bass, and can make somewhat musical sounds on keys, harmonica, and percussion if given enough time. I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years now (Wow! Really? I should be much better by now!) and I graduated with a degree from a Boston music college (where I now work as a stage manager/ live sound engineer.) I own 11 guitars, 2 basses, 7 amps, a piano, a couple of keyboards, some drum machine and synth equipment, a few assorted harmonicas and pieces of hand percussion." Skate Boy
Well, I don't have that many guitars, but I do have 5. Also I have a bass and a drum set. I'm trying to get in a band, I played in a band once and now I am dieing not being in a band. Not many people want to have a 14 year old in their band, even though I can. Yeah,.. it helps when your dad is a professional guitarist! I get all his "hand-me-downs." I haven't been in a band for a while now... I've been too busy with work. Skate Boy
My dad used to be in a band. Not professional or anything but they did make money and stuff. So, who's your dad? Anyone I would know? Is he a big professional guy does he just do little stuff? Is your dad Paul McCartney? If he is, will you introduce me to him? Thanks! edlib
No,.. nobody famous (he's actually Edlib Sr., I'm Edlib Jr. ) Just a guy who's been playing jazz guitar for a living since before he was 10. He's in his 70's now, so he's actually pretty damn good at this point.
Nitro
3 guitars (a nice Seagull acoustic, with a nifty bottlecap pickup added on, and 2 old old acoutics my mom owned, and rarely get played) A bass (Peavey Milestone II) A Peavey Minx 110 amp 2 pianos A flute 2 violins (though one is exclusivly used as a "fiddle" for traditional Maritime music) And after X-Mas, there'll probably be a bodrun(sp?) I WANT A DIGERIDO!!! (also sp?)
Skate Boy
I just got a Martin D-16 about 4 months ago. Man, I love that thing. My bass is acoustic, which is cool cause I don't always have to plug it in.
