I'm sooo glad to hear that everybody is okay!!! You are going to start to really feel those muscle pains now I'm sure - now that you are not in shock anymore. Nobody was drinking right?? I can relate to your accident here's what happened to me....

I was driving home from work (I work graveyard 11:30pm - 8 am) but that day I was off early. So I get on the freeway and I'm driving along about 60-65 in morning traffic when all of a sudden a white SUV in front of me swerved and left me to hit....what I only caught a glimpse of. I thought it was a car part. I didn't have any time to react. I just hit it. BAM - I blacked out could feel my car lift up in the air and hit hard down and the car started careening across the lanes of traffic...I couldn't steer, I couldn't brake...my car was just going from momentum. I was sooo scared someone was going to come and wipe me out. Then I noticed where my car was heading....OVER PASS!!! I was sooo scared I was going to go over the over-pass!! I thought oh god this is it and I hit the cement wall full force. I could feel something wet on my legs and thought I was bleeding!!! I looked down and it was SODA that had spilt everywhere. You know how you said the first thing you did was get your head phones??? I can relate cuz dumb me could not find my cell phone! I sat there searching for it in my crumpled mess of a car. I was just in shock - like you were. Finnaly I got out and people came to help me. A guy came up and he said that he had lost his bucket on the freeway....okay THIS WAS NOT A NORMAL BUCKET!!! This was you know a construction scooper backhoe thing??? One of those giant steel cement scoopers. It wieghs about a ton. He did not chain it into his truck and it fell off into the freeway. Another girl hit the bucket too and she was not hurt as well. I am still suing the company to pay for my injuries and my car. It is ridicoulous. I had a facet joint in my back messed up and was out of work for 2 months. It hurt forever even with Vicadin and everything. The car accident changed my life for a long time. I did not like driving and to this day I am VERY careful about making sure there is nothing in my path. I'm sure you will do the same.

It is very scarey. I'm glad your okay and don't worry. Thankfully you guys only came out of it with sore muscles and broken bones. It just gives you a reality check that life is short and anythng can happen. It will be okay though. Just keep talking about it with your friends and family. It will make you feel better. ;)

well after school today i went and saw my doctor, he said pretty much what i expected he would "you're very lucky to be alive, you should get x-rays to see if anythings broken or not" so after i left his office i went downtown and got a few x-rays done. ill get the results within the next few days apparently. ive learned that the driver is going to be charged for speeding, reckless endangerment and possibly something else. none of us fellow victims are going to sue though.

turns out we made the newspaper though. i found the article today at dinnertime and as usual they got the story wrong, it said that all four people were hospitalized when i just went home and tried to sleep, the shock is gone now but im still pretty freaked out about it. we passed the site of the accident today and i saw the divide we had ran over, and the lamp post we had hit, it wasnt exactly pleasant.

quite a few people have asked me this, but no. nobody was under the influence of anything at all that night. our driver was just angry and a bit too confident in her car and speed control.

my chest has turned a nasty looking greenish colour but my doctor said thats to be expected as the pool of blood gathered under the skin dissipates, he proscribed something for my neck but i havent used the stuff yet. my necks healing nicely though, ive regained a fair bit of movement in it and its already at that wonderful pussing stage *groans*.

as for the car ferretus, no it looks nothing like that, picture a normal white car, late 80's model, kind of blockish and not very nice looking. now picture the very front of that car, its shaped like a U, the windshield met the lamp pole right near the center so its pretty symmetrical. from the windshield back it doesnt look too bad but the cars a total write off. thanks again every body. and im sorry to hear about your accident sttct, thats awful, its good to know that the fear and shock fades in time though.
