Blamer
I don't know what the definition of "rock" is supposed to be these days, but: Saviour Machine One of the most controversial and under-recognized bands in Christian music and in modern music, period...they have to be my all time favorite group. Unfortunately you'll probably need to search for a while before you can find any MP3s of them on Kazaa or Soulseek. Saviour Machine in action (13 meg quicktime) Threshold Metal/hard rock, great music, great lyrics Shadow Gallery Another great band, although much of their music either isn't hard/aggressive or "deep" enough for my tastes...I don't know, it's something hard to define. Honorable mentions also go to Holochaust, Living Sacrifice and Therion. I pretty much avoid every band that ever gets played on mainstream radio like the plague, except for a couple songs that I think are catchy enough to burn onto a "driving mix" CD. Darth Groovy
Lesser known huh? Ok well I will have to tip my hat to Spahn Ranch who pretty much have a sound of their own yet fall under the eclectic industrial categori. Second would have to be Download wich consists of former members of Skinny Puppy and specialize is off the wall hyper electronic walls of sound.
