Murray-Mint
I know it's slightly offtopic, but I'd like to do an ongoing post about the various UK LAN parties. Feel free to extend this to other countries... UK i15 - 14th March 2003 to 16th March 2003 Newbury - £60 - 830+ http://www.multiplay.co.uk/i15 This is the daddy of all UK LAN parties. expected attendance over 1000 people, it costs £60 for all 3 days and spectators can also attend at a cost of £5 per day. It is held in the Grandstand at Newbury Racecourse and is very popular! StratLAN 2K3 - 21st February 2003 to 23rd February 2003 Stratford-upon-Avon - £30 - 52 http://www.multiplay.co.uk/StratLAN2k3 This is a smaller LAN organised by the same people as i15. It is for the same length, but costs less and is held more in the centre of the UK. Spectators are allowed and it again costs £5 per day. This LAN is more drinking and social than i15. FatBoyLAN 6 - 7th February 2003 to 9th February 2003 Andover - £20 http://www.fatboylan.co.uk This is yet again another smaller LAN. Quite far south in the UK but it looks to be fun as well. So, there it is. If you are going to one of these then please post here. If you want to post details of another UK LAN then please post here! scabb
A 'Social' LAN. The word oxymoron springs to mind. Well, not necessarily springs, but certainly takes a great big leap, and just grabs a hold, eventually clambouring in.
