Natty
Do you have a sense of humour and if so what is your sense of humour type?
mercatfat
None of the above. Intelligence and wittiness go hand in hand. Intelligent Satire is witty, which is my style. It's got to usually be original, relevant and non-obvious humor too. So yeah. I love The Daily Show because it's witty satire of relevant events in modern society. I like Kids in the Hall because it's witty dadaist satire. The shows on Adult Swim are sometimes satire and sometimes just silly, but they're still intelligent, not wacky. I love the show 3 South because the characters are such dead-on satire of people I know. It's also why I hate Mad TV and love SNL. The post on TT was very serious sounding and didn't have any lines that really showed you were being funny. Either way, it's not exactly an original observation and kind of had a "It's been done before, and better." quality. Everyone has a sense of humor. Your sense of humor is defined by the humor of those you commonly associate with and the settings you hang out in. That's why the structure and humor is different from forum to forum on the LFN, why American comedy is way different from British humor and why what you and your friends find funny isn't necessarily what everyone else finds funny. Natty
Yeah see no one gets Australian sense of humour- even though we find our sense of humour hilarious. Try saying it to Brits or Americans and they stare at you blankly.
Benihana14
I voted for the first one...it covered more of my humor than the others....shoulda voted other. Anyhoo, I agree wholeheartedly with mercatfat. My humor ranges, I like the randomness of Simpsons, to the witty satire of The Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart...I enjoy rediculous immature comedy as in Jackass and Tom Green, and can go back and laugh at Monty Python. I have friends that all we do is perform improv comedy w/ each other and never really get any serious conversations done....others that we find funny ways to make fun of each other, and others that have our own style of conversation that nobody else would understand a word that we are saying, because it only makes sense to us. Yes, I think of myself a funny person, people that know me would probably call me "goofy"...if this poll was started due to the lack of people that found your "joke" about TT funny, then well I'm sorry. It wasn't funny or original as stated....I've seen it thrown around the IMDB message boards 20 times...oh well. I'm not going to judge you or anything based on that one post, if I was a close friend, I'd probably find it funny as well. Salutations...
Feral
I chose that it has to make sense, which explains why my favourite show is Frasier and why I prefer series 3-10 of the Simpsons over the newer ones.
Benihana14
And it rules out seasons 1&2 because they focused around Bart instead of Homer, because they actually thought it could be somewhat for kids.....silly them. Oh yeah, and the cheeseball art. (This was about the Simpsons)

For me, I laugh at anything. Yea, sometimes its not great. I mean, if someone say something like, "Hey, that cow is smoking weed!" Id start laughing. Joshi
a man walks along the road and slips. silly man. for some reason, i still crack up at this (it was told to me over four years ago and i still laugh). i guess it depends on the mood i'm in when it's tiold to me and how it's told (the last part was said in such a way that it literally laugh out loud, sides spiltting, head falling off funny, i remember how to say it, but i can't describe it in words.) if i said it to you now in that exact context and that exact voice, you wouldn't find it as funny as i did because i was already put into a laugh out loud mood (where you end up laughnig histrically at anything) and the memory of that makes me laugh when i think about it. Benihana14
Yeah, like today at work (I work at a movie theater....it rules) my buddy was going to get off early, but the shift leader was teasing him saying that he had to be out the door in 30 seconds or he was staying another 3 hours. So the shift leader starts counting down, we are all encouraging my buddy to hurry up...instead of running around the concession booth, he decides to jump over the formica half-wall that stands about 3 1/2 feet from the ground, running at full force....he puts his hand on the top of the half-wall to give himself leverage, but his hand was actually on top of a bunch of "Just Married" mini-posters....so his hand completely slips off the ledge, his body was already half way over it, and his feet were way up above his head....and he just FLEW about a meter from the wall, landing flat on his back....oh my it was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Sorry I can't visually describe it any better...but my cheeks/stomach still hurt from laughing...

SuicidalXWing
My mood depends on the sense of humor I'll have. Other factors contribute as well. I like jokes that make ya think especially. And personally I think most of the jokes in South Park are childish, also Sotuh Park at times tends to cross the line too often.
selfishB
Just voted other. What else would terry pratchett & robert rankin count as? Yes I am a geek. so?
Joshi
Pratchett is a completely different type of humour, not only can he make you laugh and think, but he could probably make you cry, hysterical, loopy and seriously consider the fabric of life and whether we should actually be here. but for a troll in the watch who knocks himself out when he salutes, that's just laught out loud funny. as well as the 'wizzard', done by someone who's stitchings worse than his spelling.
