boinga1
open the files for saber colors and make them all black
ImmolatedYoda
however, i believe that the glow that you see on the floor is hard-coded into the game, so it will always be there. im not entirely sure about this, somebody correct me if i am wrong. clu
I've been trying to get rid of that glow on the floor for quite a while and can't seem to find the shader. I think you may be right (that it's hard-coded somewhere) but I would be very interested if someone found a way around this. -clu
Covax
Just cheat and shut off the Dynamic Lights. It's what I tell everyone to do for my Dragon Remix& Blade stuff.
clu
That's cool. If you turn off dynamic lights, what else do you sacrifice? Also, is there a way to turn it off through code? -clu
Commodus
Yes there is a way to turn it off through code. Somewhere in cg_players.c there is a switch which finds out what colour the saber blade is (the switch is in the function DoSaber I think) and then there is a call to trap_R_AddLightToScene. Just comment out that line and you should have no glow.
clu
I have to try that out. Thanks. -clu
