Well, let's see here.

First get yourself one - good free ones are available at geocities.com (if you're a complete n00b) or netfirms.com (if you know how to use ftp and stuff).

On geocities, use their "Page Builder"

It's awesome! It taught me, i don't see why it couldn't teach you :)

Give it a try...mess around...and you'll create and learn :D

Well, it's definitely not the best solution if you're going for lucasforums like traffic or if you're going for the best of the bestest of sites ;)

But if you're an absolute n00b and want to learn the ways of the webdesigner, geocities is a good start, i think. Once you get what you want from it - dump it :evil2: And with your new knowledge, get something from http://www.netfirms.com (if you're into cgi) or http://www.iwebland.com (if you're into php) -> those, in my opinion are the best free ones :o

if you wanna see what i dumped before moving on - see here http://www.geocities.com/krkode/krkode_rts.html :p

heh, i still have the link to the old GB forums there :D

Goto http://www.w3schools.com

It has a bunch of tutorials on many things for websites. i am currently trying to learn ASP, but it is a pain in the. . .

I also went here to learn HML:

http://www.davesite.com/webstation/html

It's a pretty good tutorial and its hands on.

I had to learn HTML (and learning ASP) so I can actually be of use to my school's webteam.

Also, there are a few pop-ups, but it is so the sites can be free. . .
