isi
Hi, does anyone know, what this genious has done after his LucasArts-times and what he is doin' right now? He told something about a solo-project in an interview long time ago, but I found nothing on the web. isi
Thrik
I think I heard in #monkey-island that he did some music for Sim City 4, I have no idea whether this is true or not though.
psitron
As Thrik said, it's true that he has composed some of the music on the SimCity 4 soundtrack. I bought the game yesterday and noticed his name while scrolling through the credits. I love the soundtrack btw. Right up my alley.
telarium
He, Peter McConnell, and some others from LucasArts went to form their own company to make some kind of multimedia authoring tool (http://www.coolernet.net) I think the funding was getting kind of light so the guys decided to do some freelance composing (Pshcyonauts for Peter, Sim City 4 for Michael). I'm not sure if they're still working on the Cooler Tool thing or not.
Jake
I'm pretty sure they are still working on it, and still doing game scores to pay the bills to finish up their product. Whatever it is, it will probably be cool in some way or another. Hope they don't name the product "Cooler Tool" though.
telarium
I think that's just the code name, but I'm not entirely sure. Poor guys. They picked the worst possible time for a startup.
