(if that's blocked, uhhh, can't think of a synynom...) The Garand is better. Better accuracy.
Dark Warrior
MOHAA imo is a great game I still play it. However I prefer Americas Army. Why should you get this game? It is free:D The game itself is pretty good. To download your free copy (legally;) ) visit http://www.americasarmy.com

C'jais
Originally posted by Katarn07 The size of the gun/ bullet thing. Like a .45 pistol is better than a .38 pistol... The bigger, the better. Not always. A desert eagle traditionally has a caliber of .50. That makes its bullets half an inch wide. Massive. But it comes at a cost - you can actually see the huge projectile in flight. MP5's use a caliber of 9mm. That's pretty fooquin' huge too, and since the barrel is so short, the end result is that the projectile doesn't achieve enough speed to penetrate body armour. Now, if it had used a smaller caliber to go with the short barrel, let's 5.56, the impact would be concentrated on a tighter surface and its chance of penetrating the body amour would be a lot higher. But for sheer stopping power, the 9mm is better. You can compare it with this: A small caliber is likened to a needle, much better at penetrating body amour. A large caliber is a massive brick, much better at stopping you, but unlikely to puncture any vital organs. Of course, this is a much simplified version of it, since barrel lengths and muzzle velocity also needs to figure in the equation.
Katarn07
What, were you once in the army or something?! Thanks for that info Cjas, that's new to me. Very interesting. How come R. Lee Ermey doesn't get answer questions like that on Mail Call????

I can't blame having army wh0res and weapon fetichists for friends, and brutally forced to hear about what news they've dug up concerning the new XM 29 and FN 2000 with thermal sight attachments, can I? The XM 29 is what's referred to as the OICW (Objective Individual Combat Weapon), the gun that features an onboard computer, an attached 20mm cannon with option for rangefinding and airburst. It's going to be named the M29 once it goes in proper production. The FN 2000 is the weapon that Sam Fisher uses in "Splinter Cell". I don't know much about modern weapons. What I know is the M-16 and the rest is from Mail Call. I know more about WWII, but not as much as you obviously What's Mail Call? Where you send questions to an expert on weapons? WW2 is not my field. Heck, guns aint even my field at all. I'm just friends with some real wackos who're going in the army with some (read: too much) extra information on weapons and tactics. If you want to learn more about this, here's a good forum my friend visits: http://www.tank-net.org
Katarn07
Mail Call is a show on the History Channel where R. Lee Ermey (former Marine, if you don't know who he is) answers questions viewers email or send him. Very good show. I've learned alot. It's not just US war equipment either, sometimes they've got obscure stuff like how Native Americans make arrows. Only problem is it is only 30 minutes long... Ratmjedi
Go MOHAA. It is a great game. I've had it since it came out and it is awesome and i still play it. RTCW sucks and is just zombies back in WWII. The reason that the M1 Carbine was not in the game was because it wouldn't serve that much use. The M1 was widely produced and had the lowest rate of jamming but the M1 Carbine did. The M1 was also more accurate as well. If you want more weapons and stuff then get the expansion pack(Spearhead). You get some pretty cool weapons. Playing MP is also fun too and that is what I mainly play. BF:1942 is fun to but I prefer MOHAA more. The Sniper Rifle sucks real bad and it takes long for it to reload after taking a shot. It also sucks if you have a bad internet connection. It is fun though cause you get to use the vehicles, As for Cjais he knows stuff about random stuff. The XM 29 is also can separate into two weapons. The top part firing the 20mm HE Round and the bottom half firing the 5.56 mm bullets. It is going to slowly replace the M-16 with the M203 Grenade Launcher as time goes by. They each cost about $15,000.
